Polish by Sand Spa

This woman was so incredibly rude, mean and disrespectful not only to me but other customers as well. She spoke incredibly quickly with no eye contact and just wanted to move us in and out like cattle so she can get back on her phone and not be bothered. I remember when I left, myself and several other customers were looking at each other like “geez is she for real“!? The way she grabbed credit cards and exchanged the cash for tips, she might as well just thrown it at me. She just seemed ANGRY that she was there!! and that’s an understatement In addition I was bleeding and sore when I left! I let the manicurist know on several occasions that she was hurting me and she also seemed annoyed. I gasped out in pain as she dug in to me as fast as she could clipping cuticles and digging into me with the tools. I have had many many manicures in the past 40 years and I’ve never been treated like this. I was really looking forward to a day off and getting some pampering and I swear every five minutes there was just some sort of incident. I sent an email & I hope the owner will call me I’d like to discuss more at length I’m still kind of blown away at how I was treated at this place & now over a week later I can’t even do another manicure or pedicure anywhere until the scabs heal and the pain goes away.

Sorry but not happy with this place. I wanted to love it because it’s so close to my house but I’ve repeatedly had mediocre nails done here and today was the last straw. I asked the nail tech to just re shape my full set and take a little off the tips because they were too long for me and they cut them super short and they look totally uneven and just terrible. D&T nails down the street is soooo much better. There’s no comparison. This looks nice but even the massages are whatever. Will never go back!

First time coming here and was impressed. While the prices are higher than some places, I was really please with my nails! My dip mani and spa pedi looks gorgeous. The space is very stylish and comfortable.

So relaxing, peaceful. I splurged and got the Stress Relief treatment it was amazing. Champagne to relax was awesome. I get the shoulder rub too. I was so relaxed I didn't want to drive home. I went 2 weeks ago polish looks like it will last another week. Great place!

Extremely disappointed as I’d seen good reviews. It seems if your skin isn’t white you don’t get a full service treatment by the mainly asian staff. The man that did my nails wanted to push the powder polish after I’d PRE booked for manicure with normal polish, after three times passive aggressively trying to get me to do the powder and saying it will look good for the holidays and me declining he then went and did a ridiculous job of painting my nails for the holidays right? as if to spite me. So sad when they do unprofessional stuff like this. Leave your petty emotions at home! Stop trying to get more out of customers it’s disgraceful! I then witnessed him speak so politely and do the white ladies nails next to me perfectly, bowing and all sorts! They need to properly train and teach their staff to be professional with all customers not just the ones they feel will tip them. And if they don’t like their job they shouldn’t do it. It’s so bad for the business owners whom I’m sure want their customers to be happy and come back. Lucky there’s tonnes of nail shops around because I won’t be recommending them at all. I could get my 10 year old niece to paint my nails better than this guy, terrible! He shouldn’t be doing nails imo

Hello folks.. Well here goes.. 1st: I like the way the Sand Spa is literally open..they have open walls meaning they have garage door walls open to the sidewalk so air is always flowing. The atmosphere is chill and most folks are friendly can't say all cuz I haven't seen all. 2nd Want your nails done proper..ask for Nivia.. awesome energy, sweet spirit. Tell her the lady with the walker that has butterflies on it sent ya!!! By the way, these are my natural nails!

I got a natural dip manicure that is $55. The lady that did my nails seemed rushed and lazy. She didn’t file or shape my nails close to even. She didn’t clean my nails, cut my cuticles, which I think should be included in the price, and I had dip residue all around and under my nails when she finished. I would not recommend this service here. With that being said the lady that did my pedicure was amazing and did a great job! I will come back and ask for her again. The atmosphere and management was good, but it is on the experience side and I did not get what I paid for with my nails.
