A small privately owned family company doing business in Southern California since 1968.
We operate...
Seventeen family owned Polly's Pies Restaurants and thirteen Kentucky Fried Chicken® franchises in Southern California.
The two owners...
Are the Sheldrake brothers, Don & Eddie, who grew up in Los Angeles. Both went to Washington High School in L.A. Don went to Harbor Community College and Fresno State and Eddie used crib notes to get through UCLA.
We are indeed grateful to our many wonderful team members, to all our loyal guests, and to all the people we've counted on for their expertise, friendship and talent. Without their help over the years, we could not have succeeded in this challenging and stimulating business.

Lovely , very clean. And friendly staff, nice portion size too, in other shops the mash is a very small amount but not here , tasty pie's and good liquor too. All packed up for taking away for us . Yummy
Nice to find a traditional Pie and Mash shop that's not in London. The staff are extremely pleasant and the menu has all your favourites. Pollys is situated opposite Icelands which is directly opposite of the carpark.
Loved it. My folks live in Tiptree, I was down from Newcastle upon Tyne and fancied something with a London twist. Lovely staff, air conditioned so really comfy even though it was a hot day, and delicious. Great value for money and really tasty home cooked pies, proper homemade mash and beautiful liquor packed with fresh parsley. Add to that the lovely eels and you have the perfect cockney food experience. Very highly recommended.
This is by far the best pie and mash in Essex and the only one that doesn't give me heart burn. It tastes so traditional I had pie mash and stewed eel's and loved every mouthful, the pies aren't filled with salt like all the others the licor is authentic, I can't rate this high enough!! Thank you Polly's Kid-friendliness: My son doesn't usually like pie and mash as he says it's too salty but he loved it
Well I was recommended this pie and mash shop from a friend and thought I’d give it a go…first impressions was a nice welcome from staff and friendly atmosphere. Pie and mash was the real deal As was the liqueur …would recommend trying this gaff out..and more interestingly I was informed by staff u can order deliveries or take aways within reason…. as Simon Cowell says It’s a yes from me
Such a lovely place! It made me so happy when I called day before and asked for a specific vegetarian pie without Quorn! I had high expectations and was not disappointed! The lovely ladies made me a fresh pie, it was so tasty! and I was not made to feel silly for such a strange order! I can eat pie and mash again yay! Thank you Polly’s
Wow wow wow Fantastic!! So where do I start the pies are hand made at pollys and are really really good the mash is smooth no lumps the chilli vinigar is home made and amazing! The staff are very friendy too! Now the liquor oh wow the liquor is incredible i could drink it! So grew up In london and havent found a good pie n mash shop since leaving UNTIL NOW if you want classic pie n mash pollies is the place to go!!! Me and my daughter go at least twice a week and it's her favourite! The only meal where she eats it all in under 5 mins! so proud she is 4!
Wow !! Didn't think I could ever match manzies in Walthamstow. But this place was amazing lovely decor. Very clean. Lovely staff the food was amazing. And the wrapped cutlery is just a fork n spoon the proper way to eat it !!!
Really lovely staff very friendly. Food was really really nice and just like I remember from the east end. Would highly recommend Parking: Car park immediately behind shop and also disabled parking
This is the 3rd time I've been in to Pollys for Pie and mash.....OMG if anyone knows Manzes in Walthamstow Pollys is 99.9% close. Also it's clean and the decor is very nice, staff are very friendly.
