This was my first visit for my first pregnancy. I got the 7:00 am appointment and got there 20 minutes before that. They were very nice to me. Waited for about 20 minutes more after filling out the papers till they call me. They did the ultrasound and the doctor needed to see the baby from another angle so she asked me to take a walk so the baby would move and change positions. They took care of another person while I was doing that and after that person I went back in and they finish it. Overall it was a good experience. They also gave me pictures of the baby when I requested them.
My experience every time I have gone there or called in, has been an amazing one. All of the staff have been very sweet and informative. I appreciate their patience and kindness towards their patients. I honestly read the bad reviews and was nervous to go in that first time. The pictures do not do the place justice at all and the staff reviews in my opinion, aren't fair ones. The office alone is beautiful and clean. The specialist really knows what he is doing. He is thorough and asks a lot of questions to try and get as much information to help as possible. Being a nurse myself I see a lot of Doctors who will ask very basic questions and give off very basic answers or diagnosis. So it was a huge relief to see I had someone who really takes his specialty seriously. Coming to this center has truly put my mind at ease. I know in my heart I can trust them to give my baby the best care.
The front office staff are so rude! They don’t call you if they cancel your appointment, and when you dare to show up to your “scheduled” appointment, they give you a nasty attitude! When I rescheduled my appointment, I was offered water from the specialist, but I denied it at the moment because I had some with me. Later when I needed more water for the scan, the front office gentleman stated that they had a shortage of water! I honestly wonder how their supervisor treats patients because these people are sure modeling after someone! They are dealing with pregnant women who already have it hard as it is, all I’m saying is for them to have some respect!
I had an appt at 0730 and waited 2 and half hours before I was called back. From talking to a few other patient's this is the norm for this perinatal center. Doctors dont show up until 0900. It's awful they do that. Many of the pregnant women including myslef have full time jobs. I wish I didnt have to come to this place.
I had my appointment 01/28/20 @ 9:30am to see a geneticists and anatomy ultrasound. The wait is a little long so I suggest you clear your schedule. The receptionist and Drs were nice, explained everything being done and answered all my questions. I ended up getting 2 amniocentesis twins so that made my appointment run a little longer. I left around 12:45-1pm. Overall good experience.
The staff isn’t friendly. This is my second visit. My first appointment, I waited almost 2 hours to be called back. I’m currently at my second appointment for the anatomy scan and It took 1.5 hours to be called back. Been waiting 45 minutes in the exam room for my ultrasound. I’ll never come back here again... avoid this place at all costs!
This is the worst place to have an appointment. Every appointment I've come to, I've had to wait between 1-2 hours past my appointment time to get seen. Why make appointments if you are going to make people wait so long after to get in? They also don't tell you that it could take this long, which would be nice since you have to basically clear your whole day to go to an appointment. Also, I used the restroom inside the perinatal center and the trash was overflowing and the whole bathroom was just dirty. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone and question why my doctors office continues to work with them.
I went in today for my first trimester screening. The ultrasound tech led myself and my husband to the room and had me sit on the table for the ultrasound. She did not introduce herself or say hello, or even explain what she would be doing. During the ultrasound she DID NOT SAY A WORD. I saw the baby, and she said nothing. I saw the heartbeat, legs, arms, and she said nothing. Her mood seemed more like she was examining a tumor than looking at a patient's 1st unborn child. The worst part was when she pressed down with the transducer very hard and started violently shaking my stomach-never even bothering to explain why she was doing this. At the end of all this, she tells me everything looks normal and baby looks good, but the baby is not in a good position to do the screening today. I mean, can you imagine getting an ultrasound by someone who never introduced herself, and didn't even comment or say anything for the whole 15 minutes you are looking at your baby?! My experience here today was terrible and it was my first time in this clinic. Her lack of empathy or consideration to explain anything she was doing or seeing in the ultrasound was horrible. I'm just glad I have had other ultrasounds and know what I'm looking at because the tech sure as heck wasn't going to even tell me if I had a baby in there. My husband and I were traumatized by her shaking my stomach. I googled it when I got home just to make sure this was normal. If I was going to do something out of the norm to one of my patients that I work with, you better believe I would explain it first and make sure my patients felt comfortable. I'm a first time mom, and I walked away feeling like I let someone in the health care field harm my child, because no one told me otherwise. Shame on her for not caring about her patients' feelings and not bothering to explain a dang thing that we were all silently staring at in that ultrasound room for a quarter hour together.
I had to go here for a high risk pregnancy with my first child. These people said that I would need to go in ever two weeks to make sure things were fine, well unfortunately the only day they had available I couldn't make so a WHOLE MONTH went by unseen. Then when I show up they said I missed my appt and they wouldn't see me and I would have to reschedule for another two weeks out. If they are so concerned for the well being of their patients why would they wait 6 weeks to see them. Now I'm due with baby #2 and need to go back to them. I tried to schedule an apt and they told me no children under 14. FINE. Well I have no one to watch my son and I said if I could get the earliest apt preferably 6am before my husband leaves for work. "Oh we're not open that early". These people are rude! I just told them that it doesn't make sense that their job is to care for unborn children yet they have no respect for the living ones. She just said "I'm sorry you feel that way" and hung up on me. If you want a dr and nurses that care for you and your child please go somewhere else because they just want your money.
Called them today to confirm my appointment that my doctor scheduled for Thursday tomorrow. When I called, the front desk told me that my appointment was actually this morning. I had never received a confirmation call and when I asked them if a confirmation call is even made, they stated that there is an automated system that makes a call a few days prior to the scheduled appointment and a day prior to the appointment. I never received any such a call; and we even confirmed my number on file if that even matters at this point. Also, they already had to shift my appointment because the original appointment I had scheduled by the doctor, they weren't available to take me so it was a last minute change/cancellation to that appointment... so now this is multiple changes to my appointment. It doesn't help that I'm stressed because I've been waiting for this appointment now for a few weeks especially since my doctor told me an abnormality showed in my blood test and I need to see them ASAP. Please figure out a better system cause this is not working.
