The instructors for the clinic are really good but I tried to take a clinic and the lady refused to let me in because my midriff was slightly showing. I tried to find out why I was denied being let in but no one ever got back to me. Not a proper way to run things.
I tried to play with my brother here and the group of older people were interrupting us because they couldn't keep their balls in play on their court. We didn't say anything to them because that's part of the game at a public facility. The front desk is ride. I was taught to respect older people... but older er people here are just horrible individuals.
The guy at the front counter has no clue what's going on with court scheduling. I think his name is Eric.. I didn't bother to learn it. Waste time and the tennis pros are lazy and never start on time. Someone from the city needs to clean house. Save your money ey Pompano Tennis Center is ghetto.
Park was beautiful but bathrooms and around it were very dirty. Sadly it was not clean at all for baby use or changing and there were homeless persons inside and around bathroom area .
A very nice public tennis facility off US 1 in the heart of Pompano Beach. They have beautiful underground irrigated hydra courts, a dedicated pickle ball court with netting as well as portable pickle ball nets on mattaflex courts and the semblance of a beach tennis court behind the front desk next to the bathrooms . The have a lot of clinics including LiveBall classes for adults that are quite affordable. The club has plenty of parking and shaded area. The courts are situated next to the pool. The have morning hours on weekends and close around 2pm. Their are 10 dedicated pickleball courts next to the basketball courts at the entrance to the park before the tennis center. Parking is free.
The facilities department, cleans the courts daily, and also redoes the court playing lines as soon as they see them beginning to fade. I have never experienced a ripped net either.
Ckay Courts always well-maintained, and easy to make reservations with Playbycourt. Membership is very reasonable.
Dan Mork is a great Pickleball coach.
I wish the put back the ball machine to play as it is scientifically proven the virus is impossible to move thus machined or balls. Tnk u
