Ponkan Fields of Fame park

The bathrooms were great. The parking lot is annoying. I was there for Special Olympics, and the field's parking lot filled up so FAST! Unfortunately, the parking lot is seriously flawed when it comes to hosting large events. It's a single strip of straight-in parking with spots on the left and right. You enter directly at the midpoint of said single strip, and either half you choose ends in a dead end - with zero space to turn around. ‍ If there are a lot of cars expected for your event, I highly recommend just driving to the end of the road and turning either right or left. It is a slightly longer walk, but the parking is much easier there. It might even wind up getting you closer to your field.

I’ve been taking my kids here since they were in the baby swings at the playground. Now they’re in their teens going to the workout area and walking around the lake. We’ve spent different bouts there, going to the tennis courts and the basketball courts. They have football fields, basketball fields and soccer fields. There’s also an amphitheater. You can go on line and find out about concerts. If you’re into grilling and birthday party’s, you can reserve the pavilion at the playground that has a grill. There’s something for everyone.

Apopka is so beautiful! And these fields are surrounded by trees and farmland. Always has great concessions!

Excellent facility with almost every sport you can imagine. We have been there at least half a dozen times for tournaments. Convenient parking and facilities. Easy for out-of-town guests. Concession service is good, but spotty - sometimes it's open, sometimes it's not. Make sure to bring a cooler with everything you'll need for the day. The only drawback has nothing to do with the park itself...hotels are not convenient. It's at least a 25-minute drive to the nearest hotel. We love the park itself, however, and look forward to returning again and again.

Good atmosphere to workout and practice

It’s always been nice until last evening when a park ranger was driving around yelling at people through the car speaker and was racing around with car lights on flashing then this morning the same employee is yelling at people that part of The park is closed for walkers and runners.

Love coming here. Very nice and clean and so very relaxing. Volleyball and basketball courts are free to play. Have a very nice trail to go running which is my primary reason for visiting every week. Nice and friendly staff with plenty of restrooms and water fountains. Love it here

This is a very nice facility for soccer nestled in amongst some trees with plenty of parking. Easy to get into and out of. Only downside is it is a bit off the beaten path. You are on 2-lane roads for 10-15 minutes after you get off the expressway.

One of the best fields and facilities for soccer and football no doubt. Rivals Deltona believe it or not if you have never been. Well kept, well spaced. Extra parking and connecting lots in the last year or so has made it SO much easier to navigate and explain to people. Will be sad when all the homes are developed around it though. Beautiful facility, amenities, plenty of walking space and scenery, espec around the big fountain.
