Poor Farm Park

It's magical in here. I don't mountain bike, but love a good rugged hike. It's a refreshingly natural trail system with a creek running through, vibrant moss, colorful mushrooms, industrious spiders, and an impressive amphitheater. On a Sunday morning we encountered only 2 others on the trails. I feel blessed this is so close to where I live. Playground: More of a tot lot but has interesting offerings.

Nice clean and quiet park. However the playground stuff seemed rather unexciting for my 2.5 year old. The slides aren’t very high which was kind of disappointing for him. He did like the rock climb up see pics. Maybe a better park for kids 2 and under.

Surprisingly nice little park. All the trails are hard to follow but not boring in the slightest. Worth the look if you live in the area.

Nice Hanover County Park in Ashland. Flat crush and run walking paths, playground equipment for small children, large open fields for the older kids & sporting or recreational activities. A few paths through shaded woods, these were especially nice today with the temperature close to°100 There are a few picnic tables in one of the wooded areas. Bring your water if it's hotoutside, I didn't see any water fountains. Neither my wife or I noticed any restrooms, so you may not want to have too much liquid. We walked many laps and stopped by my truck several times to grab a cold spring water. Both of us enjoyed the park and the walking paths and plan to go back soon. I almost forgot, we saw several blue lizards, maybe skinks, anyway they were pretty cool to see run up the trees whenever we tried to get a closer look. Very nice .

Gorgeous park with amazing trails. It is clean and offers shaded spots for picnics. There is entry of parking as well. Unfortunately, not many restroom options except porta potties - so keep that in mind if you come with young children.

I was pleasantly surprised by the rolling terrain and narrow, earthen trails of Poor Farm Park outside of Ashland. These trails wind through the woods & along a shallow creek. Recently, I followed one the trails through a unexpected patch of trees that were bowed low one direction then in the opposite direction by a strong tornadic downdraft. Very cool! These trails are great for hiking, running, biking and easy enough for families.

1st time at Poor farm Park and won't be the last.. Definitely not a beginner's trail.. So bring your a game..

Nice trails that follow a stream pretty too and a good place for exploring. Got lost and had a hard time finding our way back but if you come out of the trail to the back of liberty hs then cross the soccer fields to get back to the parking lot. Also watch out for ticks.

It's a great area for hiking and sports with soccer fields and softball/baseball fields. Lots of parking. Playground is nice. Pavilions are available. Restrooms are porta-potties so be prepared. Really nice park!

Lots of trails several geochaches and multiple different sports fields. Playground is fairly small however the kids liked it
