I love the Poore Farm Museum, it is like stepping back in time! It isnt like other museums, it is as if the owner just stepped away for a minute and you are visiting. If you really want to see what life in the North Country was like in the 1800's dont miss it. If you are a reenactor or interested in the Civil War there are letters and artifacts. Right down the vintage cereal boxes! In the Barn there is a big rug loom that is 200 years old that is still in use, and displays of needlework the women on the farm did. In the house you can see alot of dressed and clothing spanning 200 years. Nice trails to walk with family as well.
Nostalgic and relaxing! Just a beautiful place that will bring you back to a calmer state of mind!
