Pop Keeney Stadium

Description

Pop Keeney Stadium, located in Bothell, Washington, hosts games for several high schools in the region, including Inglemoor, Woodinville, and Bothell High School. Pop Keeney has also hosted state soccer playoffs for both boys and girls. The stadium is named after Harold 'Pop' Keeney, Bothell's first football coach, who formed one of Bothell's pioneer families. When football season begins, the city virtually shuts down, and as senior Michael Hartvigson stated, "the lights in the city are at Pop Keeney." In previous years, if you got there early enough, you could see legends such as all decade WR Marc "Hands" Mulholland. In 2008, several Bothell high school alumni began raising money for a new replay-capable scoreboard. Donations arrived from all around the country, raising $160,000 altogether. The scoreboard was installed in 2009 as only the second of its kind in the state. The Northshore 2010 Capital Projects Bond includes a project to renovate the stadium, including updates to lighting, stands, and other facilities. In 2015 a restaurant/hotel/brewery was built next to Pop Kenney Stadium and is now a common pre game tailgate location for many fans

Bothell had there first annual Car Show at the stadium today, Great Show many wonderful cars, everyone should put it on there calinder for next year
This is easily the best venue for high school sports in the state of Washington. It’s owned my the Northshore School District and used as the home field for four schools: Bothell, Woodinville, North Creek, and Inglemoor. The turf is perfect, scoreboard is state of the art, they have concessions, and the bleachers are covered. I can’t think of a better place to watch a high school football game.
It is an ok facility. With over 3500 seating capacity and only 501 parking spaces you would think that they might have information on the website regarding parking options.
Pop Keeney, known as "the Pop", is a beautiful stadium for Northshore School District. Being Bothell High alum and having 2 kids graduate from there, we have gone to a lot of football games and most recently graduation there. If you ever have a chance, go! It rivals some college stadiums.
Clean, very well done for games and other celebrations. Free parking
Pop Keeney and High School playoff football... Watched Kentwood play Bothell here. Really a great experience. Not a bad seat in the house. If you have a chance to catch a game here, I would highly recommend it. My question is... how much do the apartment/condos overlooking the field cost!?
Excellent stadium... Clean and well laid out. Spacious bleachers for both home and visitors, good overhang protecting from weather and well lit.
Bothell parade and car show were EXCELLENT!
Great stadium for High School and professional athletics!
We didn't actually go on to pop candy field so I can't read the field or bleachers. 4th of July parade, car show, is what I am rating. The VFW and all the sponsors chamber of commerce haggerty Pier 4 I mean oh my gosh, they all sponsored a really wonderful car show. The city of Bothell had garbage cans and recycle containers out and when we left, there may have been two or three scraps of paper in the whole area in the parking lot along the streets. It was amazing and fantastic! The car show was super good! So many wonderful people from the Bothell area, and drawn in from the surrounding areas, plus all the parade goers.. made it a wonderful full day! And the sun was shining. All in all I'm looking forward to going back again next year thank you very much Bothell.
