Fun family/kids events, and really helpful, generous staff. Large, clean bathrooms; a good, securely located bike rack; ample parking; lots of guest computers and open-floor quiet workspace. Separate teen study corner. No private study rooms.
The Port Orange Library and its dedicated staff represent a treasure to this community, so much more than a place to check out books.They offer many types of programs: I particularly enjoy the music programs. The staff is friendly, caring, and supportive. I have a vision problem, and they accommodate my needs. So many resources are available. Reading audible books in the Playable format is wonderful. You can go for a walk and listen to a book. The E Lab or Legacy lab offers equipment to digitize old cassettes, records, VHS, reel to reel, and more. I am copying old family cassettes. They also have a Genealogy group that meets regularly. CHECK IT OUT, and I do not mean just a book.

VCPL system is great and this particular location is OUTSTANDING! Awesome Staff here goes way out of their way to solve any problems if they do arise. Plus they have many fun and interesting programs, all FreeeEe! And Kudos to Jacob, he really does a tremendous job!

I love this library! Been coming here ever since I moved to Port Orange from Chicago, about 8 years now. They have a lot of resources available here and hold tons of events like storytime for children, movie nights, crafts, cooking classes, etc. The whole Volusia County library system is great - I love how you can reserve any book at any time and even if the book isn't located at your library, they will send it there. This location is very clean and has a lot of places to relax and read. Location in the City Center is awesome too - great place to take a walk around the pond.

It's a large fabulous library, laid out wonderfully for all to enjoy, kids, adults, and seniors alike!
Nice, clean and inviting. Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't been in a while. Library cards expire every 3 yrs now. But don't worry no big deal just bring your ID and your card they will update you. They were very nice and helpful to me and my daughter.
If I could give this library a 0 I would. The librarian is racist. The security officer is racist and yelled at my daughter and absolutely terrified her. She is a great smart child and extremely shy. If you are a person of color go to the Daytona Beach library or DeLand. Protect yourself and your children.
