The Youth Services Division (YSD) is a group of individuals who come from various colorful backgrounds, yet work together as a team to create an environment that serves youth and overall community very well.

The members of YSD develop sustainable partnerships and work to use the best and most effective and collaborative strategies available to focus on youth. Their ultimate goal is to work with their educational partners to create an environment where children can thrive.
The Youth Services Division consists of the Crisis Response Team (CRT), Runaway Juvenile Unit, G.R.E.A.T. Program (Local and National), School Resource Officer Unit (SRO’S), Portland Police Bureau Cadet and Reserve Program and an assigned Intervention and Resource Connection Specialist from the Juvenile Services Division’s Department of Community Justice.
The Youth Services Division (YSD) works with community partners to keep our youth safe. We strive to keep youth in school and out of the criminal justice system while applying non-traditional measures to hold youth accountable. We form partnerships, and build relationships with youth that is impactful and sustainable. We teach youth good citizenship values and assist schools increase their graduation rates.
