This place is fab, only dog friendly eat in within close distance to Bradgate which is insane!! The chap doing the Christmas lights was great.. We had a double buggy with our twins in it. Which was a little tricky getting in. We finally got in and someone literally sat at the only free table. By this time we were hangry!! We then left and returned and managed to get seated. The staff couldn't of been more helpful!! The Christmas hot choc menu is incredible, I had the rolo and coffee was reported to be very good. Food was delicious and very plentiful, I recommend the pulled pork and apple Nice toilets which are upstairs, it is small and quaint which makes it a little tricky but adds to the charm Lots of veggie options which is great Big open fire which was absolutely lovely We shall definitely return
Enjoyed lunch here after a walk around Bradgate Park. Lovely hunters chicken ciabatta served with light salad and crisps. Also enjoyed a delicious traybake and Americano coffee. Order at the counter and your food and drink is brought over to your table. Great service.Food: 5/5
This tea room is an absolute delight! From the characterful and beautifully finished building right throughout the menu and staff members, my visit was truly faultless. The quality of ingredients was obvious as soon as I stepped foot inside and saw the large array of sweet treats and cakes on offer, they looked amazing but I had no room left to try any after my meal. Onto my own meal itself where I opted for a go to full English breakfast and a hot chocolate, the only word I have is ‘outstanding’. The portion size and quality were amazing and the cost very fair. I cannot wait to return to sample more of the menu! I sat outside in a lovely courtyard and basked in the sunshine whilst other diners around me chatted away about their walks through the Bradgate Park estate which created a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at The Old Post Office Tea Rooms and am very much looking forward to my next visit.
Very pretty little cafe, believe it was an old post office building, hence unique decor and style, very cosy & warm warming place. It’s a dog friendly place, dogs are welcome inside and outside the back garden, of course, please control your dogs. Lots of lovely cakes, treats to choose from, lovely beverages and light meals during the day. Staff is friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable considering the location, which is right opposite Bradgate Park. There is no on site parking, however limited street free parking spaces for 30 minutes free hour is right outside the cafe, within few minutes walk, just further down or up the street with 2 hours free parking spaces. Have to say it’s not easy to get free parking spaces at weekends.
We had a delicious brunch on Sunday. We sat outside in the lovely garden. The cafe was nicely busy but service was speedy despite being told there was a wait on food, we were served well within a reasonable time! A yummy homemade fruit scone sealed the deal. Good for gluten free too although one more cake offering or gluten free scone would have been good. Friendly staff and everything looked clean and tidy. Just be aware that dogs are allowed inside too if you'd rather not share your space with pets. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten free
A lovely coffee shop. Savoury and sweet options all looked wonderful. I had the sausage roll which was very tasty. The coffee and smoothies were also very good. I'll definitely be coming back!Food: 5/5
Lovely place a little pricey but worth it. Sitting in the garden is lovely. But please. if you go on your bike, bring a lock and use the parking. I can't understand why a cyclist needs to have their bike at the table! It's just a bit rude and takes up soooo much space. Tea rooms are greatly
This is our favourite place for breakfast, great quality, all fresh and beautiful coffee. Would have been a 5 star but its just alittle pricie but we love itFood: 5/5
Really cute tea rooms. Superb service, and very cosy inside, with ample outdoor seating. Only comment would be that our Eggs Benedict’s were average. English muffins weren’t toasted at all and tasted bit dry and salty all together. I’ve had the cakes here before and they’re delish, coffees are excellent too.Food: 3/5
Food is good, even if is way too expensive. £18 for a jacked potato and a sandwich is huge. Also, on ground floor, tall people like me needs to always mind their heads, as ceiling is very low.Food: 5/5
