I've been with Penfed for over 10 years but I'm shocked how poor their customer service has become. It is impossible to reach an agent through their phone system, it eventually hangs up on you reprimanding you for too many invalid entries. The phone trees are all dead ends and pressing 0 can't get you to an agent. What's worse is the lack of connectedness of departments and poor outbound messaging example: rather than calling me quickly to inquire about lapsed homeowners insurance Penfed sends me a paper letter in the mail taking extra time in days, with confusing jargon and directing me to an awful web portal experience to enter info, and telling me they are going to buy insurance for us at a much higher rate because our insurance lapsed -- but it didn't. Anyway, in summary their service is awful and their digital self service tools like the portal seem like they were designed in 1999.
This is the worst place to get a loan threw. They have an app but you can’t actually use the app to make make payments so they directed me to go to the web site then later told me I can’t use the website because I have an iPhone and can only go threw chrome. My payments have been late sence I’ve been with them, I can’t get a hold of anyone due to there phone system redirecting me other places. It’s a head ache no one actually helps you, you can’t contact anyone…
Overly aggressive for a company I never requested information from. The fact that they called me 7 times within a few hours without leaving a message is obnoxious. Call once leave a message. If you want to call back a 2nd time a few hours later fine I get that. 7 times is excessive and further decreases my interest in your company.
Its been six weeks since i ordered a card. NOTHING everytime i call i get a different answer
They are starting to withhold people's money. Time to get concerned. I need to get out of this bank.

I thought these guys were great! Got a 1.9% 60 month car loan and was in and out within 15 minutes. Can't beat that!
