They are officially reopened after almost two years of recovery from the flood. Considering how long they were closed for the smell of fresh paint makes it pretty obvious that they only started the repairs recently. I went into drop off of mailing that was prepaid but the other woman that came into purchase a money order was told they don't have them yet and that they are reopening slowly. So just be aware that certain things might not yet be available.
I love my mailman! He’s amazing!! 5 stars for him! 2 stars for the post office lol I pulled out of my driveway & he was at the end of the street and waved me down to hand me my mail! It was nice. If I’m out front..and he’s on the other side of the street..he’ll bring the Mail...just the little things...you know.. Lately I haven’t seen him around, it’s been someone else..kinda bummed. Haven’t received any mail for a few days now..and using the informed delivery app..I can see that there is a piece of mail that was due 3 days ago...and I’m really hoping everything comes Today...I really don’t want to go to the post office, none of my experiences there have been...well...good. Anyone else not getting mail lately?
Wish I could give this people 0 stars. I had ordered two packages on Amazon and USPS was the carrier. I found a receipt of delivery attempt and requested redelivery. My package never came. I called USPS customer service and they told me the location at which it was held for pickup. I went for pickup only to pick one package. The front desk guy said- " I don't know what happened here with the second one!" And kept saying he didn't know. What really? Is that how you answer? The next thing I know is I see status of the same package I picked up as delivered. Well no one cared enough to change it to pickup..so I had to explain that to Amazon for requesting replacement for the lost package. I have no idea how this location is still in business. Probably so because people have no option but to wait in line just to get the job done. They have 0 interest in helping people out. Extremely disastrous service!! Don't go there if you have other options.
Everyone who works at this location is very helpful and direct with the instructions they give to the customers. It would be nice if all of the customers would actually listen to those instructions. Instead, it seems as if many customers take offense to actual instructions. It's almost as if they expect personal guidance in completing the task, while a simple verbal explanation works for most humans. Yes, most of these customers are grown adults who seem like they still can't figure out the very simplistic mail system we've been following in this country for decades now. Further, customers are always running in at the last minute with a dozen questions, expecting the line to not be backed up. Then when there is another customer preventing the line from moving smoothly due to ignorance and lack of patience, people direct their tension towards the employees. It's not fair at all to the employees, all of who are some of the most kind and endearing individuals I've met in my 5 years of living in Philadelphia. I'm here constantly, and no matter what mood I'm in before I enter, I always leave, at least a little bit happier. Seriously, please take a moment to put yourself in these employees' shoes. They deal with hundreds of customers on a daily basis, many of who are probably already disgruntled before they even enter the building. The fact that these employees can keep their composure with a smile on their face really speaks volumes. Bottom Line: If you have something important to take care of at this Post Office, I recommend you actually allocate yourself the adequate time required to take care of that IMPORTANT task in the case that there are other customers in need of help. Also, don't expect anyone to treat you like a child when you are a grown adult capable of helping yourself.
I had a very nice experience here on a Wednesday afternoon. The woman who helped me shamilah? Sorry couldn't quite remember was very helpful! I was so grateful.
Been using this post office for 8 years and I have found my mail on the street, lost, in another's box. I've consistently received mail that isn't mine. They've lost checks and other important mail. Absolutely the worst PO I've ever used. I thought a PO Box would help but they just ignore the address so I get some meant for my business at home and home address at the PO Box. There is no reliability or respect for your mail.
East Falls Post Office was able to help me secure my package after a bad shipping label and COVID/ election delays interfered with a timely delivery. John was especially helpful and I would recommend their service in the future to anyone!
I've waited no less than 3 minutes with no signs of any of the employees to help. I rang the bell that says " ring bell for service " and here a USPS employee acting with hate and aggression. He's too high to talk he just wave with hos hand and point to the desk with his finger. I think with similar attitude he will stay sad the rest of his life...
This post office is a nightmare and a disgrace to the system. The employees just don't care and they move at a snails pace as the lines grow longer and longer. Expect at least a 40 minute to an hour wait for anything. Customers often wait patiently and complain to one another as the employees slowly go about their business. They have lost our packages misplaced our mail and have made empty promises to get back to us about it and have never called. I love living in Germantown, and this is a scar on the neighborhood. This Post Office needs to be torn down, rebuilt, and rethought.
Nobody ever reviews a good experience. I ship a lot and I've seen some bad PO in this city but this is NOT one of them. Gil and John are polite, work hard and keep it moving. Less line than anywhere, often no line at all.
