Went to buy a stamp. Walked in and there was a long line. 1 person working the counter everyone else just hanging out not really doing anything. The person working was busy having conversation with co-worker. Then a family walks right in and cuts everyone off to the front off the line. Place is a joke. No wonder the USPS is going broke year in and year out.
Not a very good customer service at USPS Houston. They like to argue with their customers and are working extremely slowly with a huge line. I had to wait over 20 minutes before I was able to get to the counter. They are good people but need more train. It was also extremely hot inside. The air conditioner was not working properly.
My passport renewal experience at this location was stellar, staff was exceptional and Missy was kind and thorough with her service. Overall it was a quick visit and I’m glad I decided to go to this location!
Went to this location because Stellhorn's credit card machine was offline. Missy was able to find me the best packaging and service for my shipment and saved me nearly $10. Fast service and keeping 33% more cash in my pocket is worth five stars to me.
I love getting to make 5-star reviews! But, it's unheard of to write one for anything related to the government ... until now. The staff at the Hazelwood location is consistently helpful and friendly. I've had numerous incidents where a piece of mail went missing, or was sent to a prior address, and they went above and beyond to help track down my items. They were also very helpful when I moved to Fort Wayne from out-of-town, in getting my PO Box set up where there were some issues with the USPS box reservation system.
Just wanted to provide a PSA for anyone thinking about going to this post office for a passport. Please do yourself a favor and don't! The postal employee, older with red hair, was the absolute worst. Zero people skills let alone customer service skills. We did not get our passports processed partially our fault but oh my, the rudeness was over-the-top! I have never written a review but felt compelled to potentially help someone else avoid the treatment we were subjected to at this location by this particular employee. Luckily, we were able to get our passport applications in the same day at the court house. The clerk at the court house was informative, professional and made it a great experience.
The clerks here are helpful and informative, though at times impatient. The USPS pricing system is confusing to say the least, but at least there are people at this local branch to give you a straight answer and who are willing to go an extra step to help when needed. It's hard to predict when they will be busy, but they do their best to help people through at a steady pace. One clerk went above and beyond to offer priority to an elderly lady with a cane who came back to buy 2 stamps and didn't require her to stand an extra 5-10 minutes at the back of the line. I credit her for that!
I had one of their customers service reps, I believe her name was Catherine, come to my house after speaking to me on the phone earlier in thr day regarding a delivery issue I had had. I resolved the delivery issue, something was suddenly wrong with my mail box despite it being fine a month prior, and was told I would speak to my mail carrier about the issue when the package was delivered as they were the one who deemed it unfit for delivery. But the mail carrier didn't stop to speak with me, and later a maskless this is the Covid era, man Cathy here shows up at my house unannounced. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior from the USPS and unacceptable behavior from that particular customer service rep. I just moved to this area almost 3 or so months ago and Id never had problems with my previous post office. I'm truly disappointed in my post office :
Joke of a place employees are the laziest I have seen. Showed up 15 minutes early to my appt and they said oh yea we will help you in 15 minutes, the lobby was empty. No wonder they are losing money daily.
I always get the pink slips that I owe postage, but the lobby is never open at times that I am available to go because of “staffing issues”. How am I supposed to get my letters?? And then when I finally have a day off that I can go they’ve sent the letter back by then. Very annoying for someone who works full time as well as going to school.
