Yesterday I was there and a dark-haired man treated me very badly, he was there before closing time and in what I am explaining my problem is at 5 o’clock and he told me that I had to leave because it was closed. I don’t speak much English but he didn’t have any professionalism either.
The black guy working there has a horrible attitude. Asking and demanding stuff he don’t need to know… or suggesting extra info I think it’s more of a power trip! Miserable poor thing…. Anyone that walks in there can tell this dude hate his life and his job.
I recently moved to NA and my letter carrier is the most pleasant man; even welcomed me to the neighborhood. I've never had an issue at the post office. The cashier young man is nice and quick. Whether I use the counter, the drop box inside the store or the mailbox right outside, everything is delivered without issue. The majority of the low rated reviews are made by entitled people living in NA that are older and miserable. I've seen the entitled behavior first hand. NA is a small town with a tiny post office that is doing their best being surrounded by larger and busier towns in the metropolitan area.
I've been to this Post Office dozens of times. Parking can be a bit full sometimes, but it opens up pretty quickly. 8 out of 10 times times the people that wait on me are not particularly friendly, but they're not particularly rude either. The 1 guy that waits on me almost every time I visit seems miserable or hates his job. When I go and it's empty of customers, more than half of those times I have to wait for someone to come out from the back room approximately 30 seconds. Yes, it would be nice to have a friendly face but I'm not there to make friends, I'm there to mail a package. So, to get the job done, this location is fine.
Visited on the morning of 12/27/21. I'm familiar with the associate who was working this morning. He always has an attitude and is never pleasent. It's not our fault he's working at the post office. Today I was greated with the same attitude maybe the vulgar rap music he was playing throughout the store Notorious BIG contributed to unpleasant behavior and attitude when telling me I couldn't return a Christmas gift...USPS Box, with USPS GROUND label. Next time I'll go to Kearny, Lyndhurst or Rutherford. They are nicer and more professional. This guy needs to be reported!
You can not reach to register since "social distance" is created by iron sticks and poles wile office is crowded over 8 people who do not wear masks. If you have heavy package to forward a cashier, good luck. I am NOT going to this usps office again. Lyndhurst USPS office works great serving people with respect turn by turn. Do NOT go to North Arlington USPS who treats the customer as an animal making banning iron sticks and poles on front of register.
The worst post office ever! Our package sent from Fl to North Arlington was damaged and some expensive items were stolen. We tried to call the post office many times. They know nothing and gave us the wrong phone numbers to call. We never had a chance to talk to the mailman called Mario who delivered our damaged package. He was unreachable! Avoid this post office by any means! The post agents are rude, arrogant and lazy. They were absolutely useless and didn't want to help us. They didn't care at all!
Everyday the rules change with this place. Not only do they open late and leave people waiting outside, but now the packages can't be sent out with any other date on the shipping label other than the day it's being sent. So if I have to send out a package and printed it out yesterday they refuse to take it and send it out, ARNOLD the front desk mail guy tells me to go to another post office and send it out there.....what kind of federal post office is this? I've seen the horrible reviews and completely agree with them. So now I have to be late for work to drive to another post office 2 miles away so they could take my package. Horrible service and terrible workers, I don't get how they're still working there after this many complaints, obviously the United States postal service doesn't care about this customers or their experiences.
Most of the time the USPO does a great job. Today, on my security camera play back, I observed a postal carrier jam a box into the mailbox positioned on the steps in my driveway put it there so the mail carrier didn't have to climb the steps! he also placed my mail inside the open lidded mailbox. Not such a big deal you think.....well yes, but ALL this week there have been heavy bursts of rain, and in leaving the lid up, the mail box would become filled with rain water in no time at all. The mail was delivered at 10:51 I did hear the alert come through my cellphone signaling someone in my driveway and in playback could see it was the mailman putting the box and mail in the mailbox and leaving the lid open and the contents exposed to the elements. Now, you may ask what was a mail carrier to do! Well, for one he could read the note on the inside of the lid the one he pushed upon to jam in the box and mail and left open that reads just two feet away we have shelves under the steps for materials that are too bulky to fit in the over-sized mailbox. Seriously, ALL this week and today is no exception there had been exceptionally heavy rains, so why would ANYONE deliberately sabotage the mail by leaving the lid open? Happily my neighbor is at home and will collect my mail AND the package. The book is a gift I ordered from Amazon for a friend. So, thanks mail carrier for all the OTHER times you made sure my mail would not be destroyed sitting in a rain puddle.
I avoid this postal office branch like the plague. They are rude not to mention completely unhelpful. This branch highlights why people perceive most civil service employees as useless. Nobody works, and nobody worries about being fired. There is no sense of any urgency. Customer service is not a concept. This post office branch is an embarrassment.
