I am not from Islip, but from Queens, NY and was visiting a relative. I lost my receipt but two weeks ago, I was sending a package out to Florida, for my niece's birthday. Postal Clerk Mary attended me, as I walked in. She was engaging, warm and asked all the pertinent questions related to my shipment. She even asked if I needed stamps and I had forgotten, that I DID NEED stamps! I wish every Clerk in the US Post Office was as endearing, proficient and professional as: MARY I'm sorry I lost the receipt but I hope someone on the job or neighbor sees this post and that it brightens MARY'S day, as she did mine.
I wish I can give 0 stars. The receptionist was so freaking nasty. And she gave me a bad attitude. I don't know if she didn't get laid but the post office needs to check their employees. If you can't do the job of customer service then find another job or retire . Oh on top of all that. Her cell was ringing and she put me on hold to answer her phone.
This is so annoying. I went to this post office 2 weeks ago with NO appointment to renew my daughters passport while the lady was a bit rude she never said we needed an appointment. we completed ALL of the paper work, she rang us up and and then said sorry we do not take that card. Ok so we come back this morning and we are greeted with no sorry that is a new passprot application and you need an appointment. I said no its a renewal we were just here .Nope sorry were fully booked, all i had to do was literally pay and why now do i need an appointment and why is this considered new when last we were bere it was juat a renewal.........these people are so nasty
Generally this post office is not too busy or crowded and the service is quick. However, some of the ladies are a bit rude and look like they do not want to be there or help you, particularly this blonde woman who always wears her hair pulled back. I just called to ask a question and some lady slammed the phone in my ear after I thanked her for answering the question.
I was suppose to get a package on Sat 1/18 got to this location nd you know what?? Today is Wed 5/18 still haven't get it...called USPS and they said “ we don’t know what happened to the package , do you wanna open a case and report it as lost?” Are you *** kidding me? How you dont know what happened to the package?.let me just stop nd hope non of my packages get to this location in the near future.
Pleasant workers they were very helpful and guided me to the fastest way to ship my documents to California. They were very knowledgeable and polite. I will definitely return to this post office
I had never been in this office but their delivery system is definitely broken. Can not get my package for 1 week. Requested re-delivery. could not get anybody on the phone: waiting time is 40 to 60 min. Something needs to be improved.
It's your usual post office with a very helpful and pleasant crew, but the parking is abysmal
