Like others I was charged double what UPS would have charged at one of their stores. A reasonable amount added as a service charge would be acceptable but not this: about $76 on what would have been about $38. I won't use this store for any of their services again.
This place is great. I've always had good service here. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Just returned home after shipping a package from Postal Annex and could not be more pleased. Friendly employee and highly competent in her job. I have used this place for years and never had a negative experience so I don't understand the negative posts. Perhaps they tell us more about the poster than the store and it's employees.
I've come in several times over the past 2 years and have never had a bad experience. Lots of shipping options...obviously. They have some post office boxes inside. Lots of candles and nick nacks that are probably just filler for the store. FYI there is ALWAYS a clearance table near the front counter, if you're interested in some cool deals. Love this place.
I fully expected to pay a bit of an upcharge on my USPS transaction for the "convenience" yes it's closer than the post office,but then there is never any parking and people in this parking lot frequently drive like like maniacs but I was not prepared to pay pretty much a 100% mark up. I only had $5 cash on me since I do the same transaction frequently at the post office for about $4. At this place its $7.20 and ohhh no cash? That's an extra .75 I would use this place again in a bind, but if at all possible just drive to the post office.
I agree, the fellow that runs the place is very rude. I walked in with a small package a few months ago, and the young girl rang it up, and the shipping cost came to almost $20. When I questioned the young girl that that shipping cost didn't seem right, the fellow that runs the place told me in a very rude and loud voice, in front of other customers, that if I didn't like the price, to go somewhere else, and his place was not the USPS, blah, blah... I then took my package to the La Quinta Post Office, a few miles down the road, and shipped the same package for around $5. I don't get it... there are two very large and close knit Retirement Sun City communities near by, with very good repeat clientele potential, and small businesses, such as this, would benefit greatly, by word of mouth, given a good merchant experience. I definitely, shared my bad experience with this merchant, with friends and neighbors.
What a shocking rip-off. This place charges a 100% mark up on shipping and I figured it out too little, too late. Unfortunately I was sick the day I went in there and didn't realize what was happening until the deed was done. The clerk charged me $34.94 to ship a package to Portland. I noticed when she placed the shipping label on the box that it said the postage paid was only $17.47 though, exactly half what I was charged. Asking the clerk about the disparity, she said she had no idea why it said that. Checking my receipt after I left the store, I called back, thinking she had mistakenly double charged me. Nope, she explained to me that is how the owner had set the computer up to calculate shipping charges. Now, I realized I had actually just been ripped off....wonderful! I went back in and asked for my money and package back and the clerk said no refunds on postage. I told her that is ridiculous and that there were no signs posted to that effect and to please contact the manager. She called the owner on the phone, explained the situation to him and he refused to refund my money. He sounded fairly irate actually, as I could hear his elevated tone through the phone from across the counter. He also refused to talk with me when I asked, and promptly hung up with her. Bottom line, don't make the mistake I made. The guy that owns this place must have flunked business ethics class. He is a shameful excuse for a businessman and is making capitalism look like a money making scam. Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy being ripped-off.
This place is the worst. Owner is rude and employees are rude. Anyone who thinks these people treat customers nice, should have their head examined. My neighbors in Sun City always complain about them but done want to drive because it’s convenient. Took my friend 45 minutes to have one piece of paper notorized and the lady was rude. Any completion close by would put them out of business. They have a sign up looking for help. It should read “requirement, must be a miserable person”
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! BEWARE! On 12/24 I paid $85 for overnight shipment. It was a little key. It was guaranteed to arrive on 12/26, because of christmas even tho I paid for overnight. They didn't actually ship it until 12/26 and didn't arrive until 12/28 at 1:14pm. UPS issued a refund to the postal annex on 1/4. So they got their money back. I have called countless times and everytime the owner tells me... "Oh, let me call you back" "I have a line of customers" "I need to pull the paper work" "They haven't issued me a refund yet so I can't refund you" He's never once called me back and has always been short and cold with me. He is very defensive and has not once shown any concern for how terrible they are treating me. SO he got his money back and refuses to refund me. Extremely shady business...steer clear of them!
Favorite location in the valley, they offer a lot of services and their customer services is always on point! Today I got some papers notarized and the young women helping me was amazing!
