Have always loved Potawatomi Zoo. Got there as soon as the zoo opened. Today was in the too cool range so some of the animals and birds were kept in, away from the outdoors and people. Would like to go back when warmer. They are also updating some of the exhibits for new animals. Highly recommend especially if you have children. Teach them the value of conservation.
Yeah I'm very fond of zoos and this one in particular a lot of it has to do because it's close but they have a nice variety of animals everything looks like it's taken care of very well. it's clean. Take a bunch of kids had a lot of fun. They have a carousel and a train. They have a meat and amazing giraffe display the end of drafts are just beautiful We actually didn't see the whole zoo in one day because the kids were getting tired so we'll come back I went ahead and got a season pass
All of the staff I came in contact with were friendly and knowledgeable. There were no waits on anything, despite visiting on a Friday. We saw alpacas, goats, donkeys, monkeys, fish, otters, emu, buffalo, flamingos, zebras, a leopard and a snow leopard. There were quite a few empty exhibits however, including the lion which we were kinda bummed about. Train ride tickets were $3 per person and the carousel was also $3 per person. The kids had fun!
Quiet, mid-sized zoo. Good for a pleasant afternoon. We had a great time! Options for general admission, carousel, and train ride. Smaller and less busy than Fort Wayne, but still enjoyable.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15
This quaint zoo has so much to offer. Along with the animal exhibits there is a carousel ride and a train ride and a petting zoo area. The animals seem well adapted to their very well thought out exhibits. This zoo is clean and the faculty very knowledgeable and friendly. I will make multiple visits to this zoo.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15
Very nice zoo. Clean, shaded, nice walkway. They have a train and carousel. The cage areas seem to be comfortable for the animals. We were able to feed some of the animals. The new giraffe area wasn't open yet, but it sure looked very nice. I would like to return once the new exhibit's are open. Also had a nice giftshop.
The zoo is fantastic, I happened to go at feeding time for some of the animals 2-3 is when I went and got to see the alligators eating their lunch! Don't forget to check out the learning center right by the entrance. I totally missed out on this building because I thought it was just bathrooms. They have all kinds of cool exhibits in there with insects, amphibians, reptiles, and some super cute monkeys and cats amongst other things. All in all its a great zoo for the price. Oh and bring quarters to feed the farm animals.
This is a beautiful zoo. Staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. The zoo itself was so pretty, nice shade. Animals are very well cared for. There is a little carousel and train. We had a nice time.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
This is a great zoo for small kids. Attractions are close together and animals are close up. It's small enough to walk around easily and quickly but big enough to enjoy your time there. I would recommend it for families with small children.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15
We enjoyed it. Disappointed the lions are put up, we couldn't see them as there exhibit is being moved. No bears. Hopefully one day bears will be back. Would love to see elephants.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15
