Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.

About

At Poteet's, we pride ourselves on "Celebrating A Life", providing quality products and dignified service at an affordable cost.

Description

Since 1921, Poteet Funeral Home has been serving the Pawnee area with compassion and respect. Our deep roots in the community are a source of pride, as we grow side by side with the families we serve.

On January 1, 2015 our ownership changed as Donald and Rheadon Poteet retired and the funeral home is now under the ownership of Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.; principals are Brian Torres and Gene Black, both associated with the Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland. The history of the two Pawnee County Funeral Homes are nearly a mirror image as each was started in the early 1920's by grandparents of Donald Poteet and Gene Black, respectively and have continued under family ownership for over ninety years.

We hope you will consider us your source for compassionate care and exemplary service. Our pledge is to help you honor your loved one in a meaningful way, offering thoughtful guidance and personal attention to every detail.

This was the worst experience and funeral home I ever been to. There was dog hair everywhere. A dog actually walked through the funeral service. The entire place smelled of dog and dog urine. The attendant did not help with the TV or video. Not even something simple as handing out tissues. There was no direction. We weren't told who to follow and when. We all just sort of left to the grave sight. This place is disrespectful to anyone grieving all they carry about is money. This place seriously needs the better business bureau involved.
Poteet Funeral Home took excellent care of our loved one. The service was everything we expected and asked for. Director Mark was very kind, paid attention to detail and made it very easy for us during this difficult time.
We had our daughter funeral here the place needs little work but other then that we was treated with respect and there was a lot of people and he put up with all of us thank you very much
