Welcome to Potomac Pediatric Dentistry!
Our mission is to provide excellent dental care for children from infancy through adolescence, including those with special needs, enabling our patients to attain and maintain optimum oral health for their lifetime.
Our personal mission is to treat each child we care for as if they were our own, to respect the trust parents place in us by allowing us to care for their children, and to provide our services in an environment that is safe, warm, and caring for the patients, parents, and staff.
We treat children ages 0 to 18, including those with special needs. Caring for your child's oral health through prevention, quality treatment, and positive motivation is our top priority. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive oral health care to the children of our community. We look forward to working with you to raise a generation of young people with excellent oral health and positive life-long attitudes toward dental care.
Our Team
Dr. Hau Le: Shortly after graduating from Temple Dental School, Dr. Le provided dental services to underserved and special needs children, which sparked her strong interest in treating children and young adults. With that passion, she pursued and completed a comprehensive pediatric dental residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in Bronx, New York.
Since finishing her residency in 2012, Dr. Le has been practicing pediatric dentistry throughout Northern Virginia. She takes tremendous pride in promoting positive dental experiences for her pediatric patients, as well as serving her local community.
On a personal level, Dr. Le and her husband, Brian Abbott, have proudly chosen Woodbridge to be home. In their spare time, they enjoy cooking, jogging, watching sports, volunteering in the local community and spending time with their families.
Dr. Shwetha Rai: She hails from India, was born in Germany, grew up in Saudi Arabia and came to the United States to attend high school at the Madeira School in McLean, Virginia. After her travels she is happy to settle in Virginia with her husband and join the Potomac Pediatric Dentistry group.
Dr. Rai attended James Madison University where she recieved her Bachelors and then a Masters degree in Health Science. Dr. Rai then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Virginia Commonwealth University cum laude, and practiced general dentistry before pursuing a specialty in Pediatric Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry.
At VCU Dr. Rai was able to volunteer at the Mission of Mercy projects, the Special Olymics, and Give Kids a Smile. Dr. Rai continued providing care to the undeserved with NYU at the Special Olympics, in upstate New York, Maine, and Alaska.
Dr. Rai is an active member of the American Academy of Dentistry, the American Pediatric Dental Association, and the Virginia Dental Association.
