I went to Potomac Running after my chiropractor recommended to buy shoes from here. I was quite skeptical but went there. What a wonderful experience! The reps were simply wonderful. They helped, reviewed what was needed and help me make a decision. I thought I will only come when Dan was there, but every time I went, each rep was as wonderful! Since then I have taken my daughter, my son there! Best service ever and they take care of your feet! Worth the investment of buying shoes that make your life easy!
The absolute worst customer service by Dan! I had an appointment to be fitted; showed up five minutes early to my appointment, and the lady employee was helping another person, but said she’ll be right with me! Which I appreciated, and I didn’t mind since I was early! Then, 10 minutes later, still haven’t been helped, but somebody off the street came in, and Dan helped them right away! I was astonished!
Big selection of popular running shoes and gear. I prefer them to other big brand sellers. They have a treadmill for testing shoes out, and they help with sizing and finding the perfect fit.
Upon my visit to this establishment, I was on the hunt for a new pair of running shoes. I was warmly greeted by a courteous employee who guided me through a comprehensive foot scan, which included standing and walking evaluations, as well as a video analysis of my running form while wearing shoes and inserts. I must say, the entire experience was a delight, and I found it to be quite informative and beneficial. Thanks to the thorough assessment provided by the employee, I was able to find a pair of running shoes that fit my unique needs, and I am pleased to report that I no longer experience any discomfort while running. Overall, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in search of high-quality running shoes and exceptional customer service. The personalized attention and expertise offered by the staff make for a truly enjoyable and worthwhile shopping experience.
Are you reading these reviews to see if you should check out Potomac River Running? Stop reading and just GO! This is easily the best place I have ever purchased ANY shoe from, and it's not particularly close. Whether you're new to running or a seasoned veteran, this is where you want to be. Why? Fair prices, solid inventory, clean and modern ambience... But as a sales and marketing professional, the real differentiator is the CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. Few companies do it great, Potomac River Running does it PERFECT. And yes, I'm a little jealous and wish I could replicate their warm techniques in the tech world lol Huge shoutout to Amber for being patient and helping me choose a new pair earlier today. She was wonderful and I'm excited to hit the trails soon!
I was only able to get 1 pair of inserts for my running shoes at the Reston location, so they called a hold order into the location at One Loudoun in Ashburn. I felt a bit bad as that is the store that is close to home and I should have checked there first. However, Reston was close to another visit. They arranged for curbside pick-up but I masked up and entered to find Chris who was with another customer. I had a chance to look around the store and then he handed me my inserts. Will stop by again later to look at other good walking shoes. Very friendly and I hope this local store remains open.
Great service and so friendly and professional- took both of my young adult sons here different days and got excellent service both times- both sons said they will only buy shoes from PRR based on their experience!
The staff here did a wonderful job assisting me. I was window shopping for a new pair of running shoes when I walked into this store. The gentleman inside took some measurements, put me on a pressure sensor, and checked my pronation. This is exactly what I was looking for in a running shoe store. He brought me multiple pairs of shoes to consider after the initial run through. In the end, I left with a new pair of ON Cloudflyers along with a new running outfit. I definitely enjoyed my experience here.
Excellent staffs. Courteous, professional and running experts provide crucial opinions, tips and assist with selection and fitting running shoes patiently. Neither any car-dealer-salesman push here. They seem knowledgeable on the foot anatomy respect to the dynamics of running. Only minor complain is that their prices a bit on the premium side. If they can improve on this, Potomac River Running truly deserves a five star and would distinguish itself from all other running shoes sellers. Very much enjoyed the recent store visit.
Would recommend if you want to improve your health via better foot support - which translates to better back/hip/knee/ankle health. I’m thinking it’ll save loads of genetic frustrations as I get older. Dan was phenomenal. I set up a gait analysis and he was patient, knowledgeable, pleasant, and helpful. I ended up buying two pairs of shoes, two insoles, and a custom-made insole to see if that helps more even though he didn’t try to upsell me on it, which was based on some pretty cool mapping/imaging technology they have there. They also have discounts for first responders and military.
