Facebook Page for the Potter Library of Ramapo College of NJ
The George T. Potter Library supports the College curriculum with materials in all subject areas through a collection of 172,000 print books, 8,800 e-books, 600 print journal titles, 4,900 DVDs, more than 130 streaming videos, and thousands of electronic U.S. government documents. The library offers access to more than 100 databases that can be used both on and off campus.
There is a 30-station computer lab for student use and an Information Literacy Classroom where research skills classes are taught by librarians and customized to individual courses. There are laptops available for student use, and wireless access exists throughout the building. Reference librarians can assist individual students in designing research strategies and locating and using library materials. Research help is available through online chat, text, telephone, email or in-person at the Research Help Desk.
The Library serves as a gateway to information and promotes intellectual discovery, for the Ramapo community in general and for its undergraduate students in particular, to further the college's goals for learning, teaching, and research. Toward these ends, the Library maintains a well-organized, balanced, and up-to-date collection of information resources, and provides assistance and instruction in accessing it.
