Mission

Who are we?
We are you! The Prairie Crest PTO is an open membership of parent and teacher volunteers working together to build community, to support teachers, and to raise money for the benefit of the School.

What do we do?
So many things! We organize family themed events such as a Costume Ball in October, Free Movie Nights, and a Fun Fair in February. We have other events throughout the year such as Chick-fil-A Night, Crest Night at the Ice Arena, McTeacher Night, and Crest day at Orange Leaf. Each year during Teacher Appreciation Week, we plan ways to thank our awesome Crest teachers and staff. We also sponsor class field trips by covering the transportation and admission costs, create and provide Memory Books for all students, purchase Anti-Bullying materials to be used in classrooms, supply literacy books for all ages, purchase equipment and supplies for every classroom as needed, just to name a few.

Who benefits?
Every student at Prairie Crest! With the money from our fundraisers and from direct donations we support essential school programs and help enrich the school experience for all students. We provide teachers with funds to use for materials and special classroom projects. Some of our recent purchases have been new playground equipment, a therapy dog (we're still waiting on an exact date to get our new friend!), and updated/upgraded tablets and laptops.

What do we need from you?
Your attendance - at one of our meetings or at one of our events in front of a table or behind it! We are always looking for people who would like to share ideas and for new faces eager to help out in ways big and small. Our projects provide volunteer opportunities suited to all types of skills and schedules. The PTO is open to all. Our meetings take place in the Crest Library at 6:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Watch here for scheduled meetings.

Would you like to learn more?
We hope so! Please email the PTO at [email protected].

We would like to get to know you better!
