Company History
Mueller Therapy was started by Barb Mueller in November 2003. Barb started as the only Occupational Therapist providing services in facilities she marketed throughout Sheboygan County. The only office at that time was in the basement of her home. In order to offer more comprehensive treatment a physical therapist was added. With continued growth of the caseload, Laura Balcerak, certified occupational therapist assistant, joined Mueller Therapy in 2006 along with additional PTs and OTs. With continued marketing efforts and program development, Mueller Therapy grew to approximately 40 employees by 2009 while expanding therapy services to 5 counties throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
Due to the demands of the industry and the changing needs of our clients, Barb and Laura formed Easy Living Home Health Care Agency (ELHHCA) in 2010, adding Nursing, Social Services, and Speech Therapy services. ELHHCA was licensed as a home health care agency in July 2010 and was CHAPS certified in April 2011. Over the next several years, ELHHCA and Mueller Therapy grew to approximately 80 employees. A northern branch with an office in Kiel was added in December of 2012. A western branch will be added in 2013/2014.
To provide a complete continuum of care, Grace Hospice Care was developed and has been licensed since February 2012. This division was CHAPS certified on September 27, 2012. Along with Barb and Laura, Tina Thull and Vicki Depies are also co-owners. In June of 2013 Grace Hospice Care’s name was changed to Serenity Hospice Care. Hospice services are provided throughout southeastern Wisconsin as well as in our northern branch.
Preceptor Health Care was created in July 2013 to encompass all companies under one name. While each company continues to provide its specialized services, team members from all companies coordinate the continuum of care.
This continuum of health care and the vision of its owners have placed these health care entities as leaders in healthcare.

The Preceptor Health Care family of companies includes Mueller Therapy (In-home Physical Therapy/Occupational/Speech Therapy), Easy Living Home Health Care (Skilled Nursing Services), and Serenity Hospice Care (In-home hospice care team of medical directors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, bereavement specialists). Our services can be provided in private homes, assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.
Preceptor's corporate office is located in Germantown, Wisconsin, with offices in Kiel, Portage, and Random Lake. We are proud to service Brown, Calumet, Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha counties.
