Megan, Karlee and Kendra provided the best customer service! They explained kayaking and assisted us with a paddle board! They even took photos  of us! It was a beautiful positive experience. Ca't wait to some again!!

Presque Isle Bay , Misery Bay, the marshes. A few times a month it can get choppy with weather on the bay but mostly it's a nice paddle, there are boat wakes, but with technique manageable. Friendly and helpful staff, nice equipment, one person, two person, fishing, sit on top kayaks,paddle board, canoes,row boats, motor pontoons and more! Very fun!

Don’t even think about renting boat here. Water comes on boat like you r sinking. So scary with family or kids. Not safe at all. We did boat rental at other places, it was completely different n fun.

The lagoons were just beautiful.   You just can't see what is in the lagoons without taking a boat back there.   No engines are allowed though...

Prices for rentals are pretty reasonable and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Last year when we came for our visit to Presque Isle we decided to try renting a boat. We were happy Presque Isle Boat Rental was able to accommodate us even during COVID. We had a great time and even caught some walleye. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pricing is very reasonable and the boat was in mostly good condition.  This year we tried to rent a boat again and left feeling frustrated. My husband called several times prior to our trip and was placed on hold for at least 15 minutes or more. We both tried calling a couple more times and got different responses each time regarding boat rentals, availability, and times. No one that we talked to seemed to know the answers to our questions, and, seemed annoyed that we would even ask.  When we arrived to get set up with a boat the young woman working the stand said we couldn't go out due to possible rain in the area. While my husband and I both understood that the staff was just trying to follow safety precautions, we found her attitude to be very dismissive and standoffish. We left and fished somewhere else on the island until about 4:30pm. Still no rain. My husband tried calling one more time to see if conditions we safe yet. He said the individual he spoke with wasn't sure if we could take a boat out and gave no further information.  I realize that this is a state park service and I do recognize that the staff can only do what they are permitted to do. However, my issue was more so with the inconsistency of communication and general lack of care that we received.

They don't open till 9 AM it's absolutely ridiculous. Any serious angler wants to be on the water by 6 AM

This is a really lovely area to boat through. We rented a double kayak and completely enjoyed ourselves. You can go anywhere in the lagoons you want. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Prices were a little higher than I have seen elsewhere, which is my only complaint.

I went along with a friend and her son, her and I used a pedal yak and the boy used my paddle yak, we had a great time, staff was friendly and helpful, entire thing was stress free and I’ll definitely be using them again as needed, highly recommend!! …just a heads up tho, a pedal type yak will get hung up in the lilly pad areas, guessing the prop/rudder workings, that took some work to get out of that mess but keep it in mind..

Location is terrific. We saw heron, turtles and some different birds while kayaking. We rented a two person kayak which we've never done before. We liked being in the same boat so to speak. I don't understand why they don't fix the bathrooms? If you need to change you have to use the spot a pots. The price was a little high from what we've paid other locations like Williamsburg V.A.
