Absolutely horrible hospital. You are much better off going to any of the hospitals in Morgantown before coming here. They make you wait hours before you are even acknowledged. Half the time a doctor won't even see you or do anything more than give you asprin. I've currently been waiting for 2 and a half hours to be told that I have to go back into the waiting room to be seen. Go elsewhere, especially if you have a life threatening situation.
I've already told my partner that if I suffered a brain aneurysm in the PMH parking lot, I'd rather risk the drive to Morgantown than step foot in the Preston Memorial emergency room. The staff is rude—to the point of telling patients experiencing breathing difficulties that they're wasting their time and that they have "actual emergencies to deal with"—and doctors will carelessly prescribe patients medications to which they know said patients are allergic just to be rid of them.
My Mother pased away their from a urinary tract infection because they chose to put her on their wondefull confront plan ....where they could shoot her up with Morphine but couldn't shoot her up with antibotics....so she went septic and pased away... I will never go back to this hospital or send a loved one there.
The staff was very knowledable about my condition. They were prompt and efficient.
It was a great place. The doctor and nurses were very nice and very helpful, listened to everything we told them, pulled some records they didn't have. They Dr.Hoffman, and his nurse Julie were very pleasant to talk to. Glad our insurance gave his name to us.
Where do I begin, had several colonoscopies scheduled and the doctor never showed up to a single one of them. The fourth time I went in and was told he wouldn’t make it I told them to cancel because I’m not going to waste my time because they can’t do their jobs and billed me over $300, and what’s even worse is that one of my coworkers had several seizures in the waiting room and a nurse said she was faking it to get seen faster. On top of that not even two weeks ago my sister was sick enough to go to the ER and they forced her to wait outside in the cold at 2am and refused to let her use the bathroom. This place is absolute garbage. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. Needs closed.
Went to the emergency room tonight for my cut thumb and was very well taken care of by Dr. Mazza and a nurse named Kendra. Dr.Mazza did an excellent job cleaning my cut and putting stitches in and Kendra was wonderful at wrapping my thumb and making sure my blood pressure had went down. I was very happy with the way I was treated!!!
My husband went to get and MRI after he got done he stepped outside to see if his ride was there. So he went back in to wait the lady at the desk would not let him back in because he didn't have appt. or a badge. He was just there for a MRI it was crazy .he had to wait outside in the cold . And she could see him out there i think you should hire people that care or know what they are doing. What if it was a older person.
Took my son to the ER for stitches in his finger.. have currently been waiting for over 3 hours. Had I known this, we could have drove to Pittsburgh and been on our way home by now. Still haven’t been seen for the actual stitches. The numbing cream they put on him 3 hours ago has probably worn off as well. 10/10 do NOT recommend.
Excellent facility. Fortunate to have such a professionally staffed and well equipped hospital in our community.
