Our daughter spent 16 months at Primrose School of South Elgin. The Primrose curriculum, teachers, and support staff are nothing short of amazing! My daughter LOVED going to school and she learned so much. Although we had to move out of state, the teachers and staff tat Primrose of South Elgin have become an extension of our family. I didn't cry the first day we dropped our daughter off, but I sobbed when we had to say goodbye. We will miss them!
Primrose School of South Elgin saved my sanity as a parent and has given me so much more. It all started in the summer of 2011 roughly. My daughter was attending a child care facility and she was learning at a very fast rate. I was very impressed with the staff there, but then when she turned three, everything changed. Her learning sort of plateaued and I didn't really realize what was going on for the longest time. Then when I finally figured it out, I decided to do something about it. Thankfully, Primrose was just about to open and they gave me the tour and the sales pitch. The biggest difference about Primrose vs other child care centers is that Primrose isn't child care, it is a school. Learning is the top priority for the children, not just supervised play time. As soon as my daughter started, it was apparent how big of a difference Primrose was going to make in her life. She spent pre-k and private kindergarten at Primrose before moving onto public school for first grade. My son had spent all of his early childhood development at Primrose from 15months through pre-k before moving onto public school for kindergarten. He is doing phenomenal in school and has a real thirst for learning; something I believe he developed at Primrose. Businesses like to say that the highest form of flattery a customer can provide is referrals and even with my kids no longer enrolled at Primrose though they will be for summer camps, I still tell everyone who asks about local child care. And yes, I always correct them that Primrose is not a daycare, rather a school. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Primrose and the impact they have made on not only my life, but my children's lives.
