Dr. Daniel Borison is board certified in general surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and Certified in Wound Care by the American Board of Wound Management.
Dr. Borison practiced General Surgery and Trauma/ Critical Care for over twenty years, serving multiple terms as Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Chief of the Division of Trauma at Hillcrest Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic’s largest suburban campus. He founded Cleveland Surgical Associates in 2001, and led the surgical group which practiced at several major hospitals in Cleveland including Hillcrest Hospital, University Hospitals’ Ahuja Medical center (where he chaired the quality committee), and the Lake Health System in Willoughby and Concord township.
In 2012 Dr. Borison helped found AmeriWound, which provided physician led wound care services in Nursing Homes, and Long Term Care facilities, and served as Chief Medical Officer for the corporation. In that time AmeriWound expanded to seven states and over two hundred facilities with nearly sixty physicians.
In 2016, in order to focus specifically on quality care, and survey directed documentation, Dr. Borison founded Primus Wound Care. He currently serves as President and Chief Medical Officer.
