We welcome Islanders and visitors and offer a look at our rich history through our seven museum and gallery sites. Basin Head Fisheries Museum, Elmira Railway Museum, Orwell Corner Historic Village, Beaconsfield Historic House, The Acadian Museum of PEI, Green Park Shipbuilding Museum & Yeo House and Eptek Art & Culture Centre.

Basin Head Day Park
Situated on the bluff overlooking the Northumberland Strait, Basin Head Fisheries Museum tells the story of PEI’s historic inshore fishery through all new displays and exhibits that will help you travel back in time. Wander the boardwalk or stroll along the magnificent white “singing” sands. Discover the wonderful gift shop located inside the museum, food and beach services and the children's play village.

ELMIRA RAILWAY MUSEUM, Elmira
For many years Elmira Station served as the end of the line for Prince Edward Island's railway. Today, displays of photographs, maps and artifacts, a recreated station master's office and ladies' waiting room recount the fascinating story of railroading on the Island. You won't want to miss taking a ride on the Minature Railway! See our speeders and our trolley too!

BEACONSFIELD HISTORIC HOUSE

Built in 1877 for a wealthy shipbuilder and merchant, Beaconsfield beautiful symbol of Victorian elegance. With twenty-five rooms, eight fireplaces and imported chandeliers, Beaconsfield was one of Charlottetown’s finest homes. Today, the house is open to the public for tours and hosts special events in its Carriage House.
