The good things about the Regal Princess are that the ship is tidy, very clean, most of the staff are very kind and helpful. The less good things. The beds in the cabins are simply horrible and uncomfortable, everything on the ship costs money. The place has become a money pump. Taking money for a bottle of water? The food is mostly monotonous and without any innovation. In short. I will not travel with you anymore.
We took this cruise Discovery princess to Alaska from Seattle. This cruise ship is pretty new and well maintained and fast responsive cruise staff , all included luxury dining options , world class Gym, and swimming pools with outdoor movie theater.
We have cruised on many occasions with Princess Cruises and enjoyed every Cruise. The Ships are clean and well presented with very helpful Staff on board that go beyond the call of duty to guarantee you have a wonderful time while aboard. The food at all Restaurants and Buffets is of excellent quality with an enormous range to choose from. Princess Cruise Ships are very stable and after a couple of days you forget you are on a Ship as it feels like being home but enjoying yourself all the time especially wit the excellent entertainment in the Princess Theatre every night is a real bonus to your holiday. Try Princess Cruising as you will not be disappointed.
We’ve cruised with Princess many times and tend to go between them and another company. On our most recent cruise - we were upgraded to a lovely Penthouse Suite R612, aboard the Discovery Princess. Our stateroom had every amenity one could need and more. The food is plentiful, diverse and delicious. You can eat at the many included offerings or try one of the specialty restaurants for a small up charge. Every staff member we encountered was personable, exceptionally friendly, helpful and professional. Special thanks to Prince, Robert, Amit, Agus, Pooja, Iggy, Dago, Ivan and Rohan - you’re all the fairest of the seas. The icing on the cake had to be an invitation to participate in the 360 dining experience. We were throughly captivated and impressed by the entire event = 100 stars! I believe Princess has won us over.
We were guests on the Majestic Princess and went to the Mexican Riviera. The ship is strikingly beautiful and well taken cared of. It was clean and shiny. The Medallion Class made the trip even more enjoyable as we fluff not need to carry a credit card or cash except when we tipped the staff. The activities on board are plentiful, the shopping on board better than buying online. There are many raffle drawings and give-aways that encourage you to be part of the excitement. The staff is super attentive and friendly. The stewards are fantastic and provided a level of service I’ve never before experienced. The restaurants are fantastic and the menus exciting. The food was always cooked to perfection. The morning buffet has all you could ever want and more. We have no complaints. The ship was built in 2017 in Italy. The quality and workmanship is evident in the layout and ambience of the Majestic Ship. We will book again and would highly recommend the Majestic Princess to family and friends. We can hardly wait till we get to go again. A big shout out to all the staff and engineers who made our trip even better than anticipated. We truly appreciate your hospitality.
Our first cruise on the Ruby Princess was an amazing vacation and I would give it at least 4 stars. We had rough weather with thunder and lightning as well as high winds and waves but still made all our ports on this 11 day trip. Now for the bad news... our April 2nd cruise coincidence it started the day after April Fool's day?? was horrible. This cruise was only a 7 day cruise and everything was horrible. From the room to the food to the fact that the so-called "customer service" team were aggressive and actually threatening, this cruise was the absolute worst "vacation" I've ever been on. We had 85 degree weather with beautiful blue skies, barely a cloud in the sky and we skipped our first port. I was astonished that we missed the first port and spoke with the customer service desk, instead of them deescalating the situation their decision was to brush off and be dismissed with the 30+ people there with the same issue. So after the customer relations issue we tried to make the best of it. We felt there was no chance of us missing any other port only to be proven wrong. Yeah, the same thing happened at our next port only it was even a nicer day. This time there were nearly 45-50 people in the customer service area but they decided to start threatening people by stating to a few I overheard to "calm down, security us right there..." as if they didn't adhere to the customer service personnel that security would take care of them. I've attempted to contact the "customer relations" team through emails and calls for over two months now, to no avail. I call the customer service line and get the same run around time and time again. They put you on hold to see if they can escalate the call to customer relations it's a "specialized" group that can work with your issues, that customer service cannot... Yes, I know, it sounds like customer service but it's customer "relations" totally different for nearly an hour and the line either gets disconnected or transfers to an automated survey. Also, there never seems to be a record of many of these emails or calls. Needless to say, this whole process is baffling and complete avoidance by Princess cruises at best if I could give this experience a zero rating I would.
The Ruby Princess, Captained by Richard Lewis, is a phenomenal cruise ship with an amazing crew. The 10 day Alaskan inside passage cruise rountrip from San Francisco was an experience of a lifetime. The balcony suite was nicely appointed and our room steward, Andrei Bonder from Romania was God sent, an amazing man. The staff was also amazing not only in customer service but in sharing the love and making the experience such an enjoyable and memorable one. Honorable mention to Reehana, events mamanger, Michael, cruise director, Keiryen, Matre' D in the Michaelangelo Dining area, Mahdo and Agnello our dining room waiters, Christopher the International Cafe Manager, Jean, Jeniya, Surya and Visgno all in the International Cafe, Flore our amazing batista and Candy our favorite photographer. So many wonderful loving Princess personal. The ports of Ketchikan, Haines, Juneau in Alaska were also breathtaking and memorable. Our last stop in Prince Rupert, Canada was also amazing and wow the crabs were tasty. The cruise ship offered quality first class entertainment with phenomenal vocals and Nathan Phan, musician who is the best we have seen and is multi-talented. His singing and high level energy act is unbeatable. The games, art shows, musical acts such as the violin and piano duet, jazz, rock and various artists was quite nice. The Kareoke was also so much fun and I was even offered a job after singing My Way! The buffet food was plentiful and was quite good although there is room for improvement in seasoning and variety options. The dining room food options were also good and the waiters seemed to know which entrees were highly desired and or favored. The deserts were amazing. All of the bartenders on board were very good but Flore in the International Cafe was the most talented and not only mixed drinks but put on a show. Housekeeping was stellar as were Covid safety measures and the ship is a vessel of beauty. In speaking with Jeniya in the International Cafe she stated this was her dream job and has a You Tube documentary. I can't say enough about the amazing people who work on the ship to make you feel at home and help make memories, the people you meet along the way and share love and the overall experience in the adventure of a lifetime. We highly recommend Princess Cruises and the love they share with you to make vacations more than what may be expected.
We went on a princess cruise 4 years ago. We were 27 and 26 at the time. We didn't want to be apart of the 19 to 21 crowd. Our travel agent made a mistake and booked us on the cruise with 60 plus average age. We were bummed at the start but honestly looking back we loved every second of it. The stories, the people we met were all awesome. The cruise it self was clean...was getting older but we were the last cruise before it went in for updating. The food was awesome. Entertainment was a little older for us but we still had fun.
This review is for the 11-day Alaskan voyage out of Vancouver, Canada on-board the Crown Princess. I was impressed with both the quality and variety of food in the main dining room as well as the availability of food in Horizon Court buffet. I enjoyed the variety of equipment in the fitness centre as well as the availability of beach towels on the open decks. The selection and quality of entertainment on the stateroom TV was impressive as was the service that I received from select crew members who truly understood the meaning of service excellence. What I did NOT appreciate was the appalling lack of standards with stateroom cleanliness see attached pics along with the lack of consistency amongst the crew when it came to not only delivering but understanding the meaning of service excellence. The crew appreciation scheme, in my opinion, was an ingenious strategy by Princess to generate revenue for their coffers because let's face it, none of us know how much is actually given to the crew in the form of wages. And from the apathy that I witnessed from some of the crew e.g. spa, fitness centre, guest services, it was evident that performance management was lacking and some of the crew were coasting and benefiting from those hardworking few who earned our admiration and respect through their genuine desire to meet, if not, exceed our expectations. Before booking your cruise with Princess, I recommend that you lower your expectations for the new post-pandemic standards at Princess Cruises.
Discovery Princess is good! Food services are delicious! I went with my family!
