Prints for a Purpose was born out of a desire to make the world a better place. We print beautiful photographs onto high quality canvas and donate a portion of every purchase to a cause dedicated to the subject matter of the photograph.
For our first Purpose, Prints for a Purpose has chosen trees and forests. Earth is experiencing serious desertification - this is what happens when forests are clearcut and the delicate, balanced top soil is completely exposed. This soil is nutrient-dense and has been created by hundreds of years of forest life. When exposed to the sun and wind, top soil is baked, crumbles to dust and swept away, destroying the vital minerals and elements, and leaving behind barren desert. Today we see swaths and swaths of barren land, some of which once was fertile forest, much of which was savannah grasslands sprinkled with large oaks across North America. Hundreds of years ago the Earth looked very different than it does today. From space you can see the large areas of desert that now consume the majority of landmass.
It is vitally important now to preserve and conserve the forests we have remaining while planting trees across the globe. Healthy forests are essential to the health of this planet, as they purify the air, create oxygen, nurture healthy soil, and even direct rain patterns across the planet. They also nurture and cultivate innumerable species of plants and animals which depend on the health of the forest for their survival.
This is why we've developed our first Purpose at Prints for a Purpose… forest conservation and reforestation. It is so important for the vitality of this planet, the future of humanity, and for the future of so many lives.
