After putting the Warrior straight shaft breakdown to the test, I have a new favorite paddle. The first thing I noticed about this paddle is the durability of the paddle blades themselves. I received this paddle during the low water season so it has had it’s fair share of impact on sharp granite and the paddle blades have held up fantastically. Several incidents had me nervously checking the edges of the blades but to my surprise there was no noticeable damage to the blade face or edge. The foam core and thin blade edge yields a slicey nature to the blades that felt wonderful in the hand and generated the power and feedback that I want in my paddle. With this particular style of breakdown paddle, it was great having the opportunity to experiment with different lengths and blade angles. Having the option to shorten this paddle for a surf session and then run it out for a run down the North Fork Payette made me feel like I didn’t have any reason to haul a quiver of paddles wherever I went. I have no real concerns with this paddle other than I am curious to see what kind of longevity I will get out of the locking mechanism that secures the paddle halves together when subjected to sand and grit over time. Otherwise this is a fantastic high performance paddle that I look forward to using for many days on the water to come.

I absoutley love my select paddle. An excellent blend of dexterity, stiffness and pricing. I ordered a custom paddle and was initially worried I wouldn't see it for a while. I am happy to say the turnaround was quick and I had it in the river in no time. Look no further if you're searching for a high quality paddle backed by an amazing customer service experience. Just talk to Dave for 5 min and you will be immersed in more knowledge about paddlea than you knew existed.

I would like to present a heartfelt review of Project E2, a business that has made a big difference in my life.  If you have any question related to kayaking, coaching, boats, or equipment, you should absolutely contact David at Project E2.  David, his wife Rachel, and his son Montana are some of the most genuinely giving, caring and likable people you will ever meet.  David is an excellent kayaking coach. After many years of struggling to obtain a roll, David was able to teach me to roll three types of whitewater kayaks in one summer. David also coached my 13 year old son, who in 6 weeks went from not rolling to having a bomber combat roll, a solid hand roll, a Greenland roll without paddle, and an offside roll. This all lead to two successful class 4 whitewater days on the Lochsa river.  When renting and selling kayaking boats and equipment, David has always been extremely knowledgable, fair and honest. As a distributor for Select Paddles, David provides expert advice and an excellent product.  Whether you are a beginner or expert kayaker, you will benefit from contacting Project E2.

Project E2, my go to for kayaks. Just bought the second one from these guys at great prices. Knowledgeable, friendly! Worth the drive from Seattle!

Customer service is great, they do everything they can to accommodate you. They were able to advise me on the best kayak paddle to suit my needs and they were right on.
