Since 1992, Prospective Payment Specialists has worked with more than 1,900 hospitals providing medical record based audits, chargemaster services, charging/billing practices, and medical necessity reviews. Every PPS consultant has a clinical background (MD, RN, MT), or possesses HIM Credentials (RHIA, RHIT, or CCS) and works daily with the compliance and financial aspects of their areas of responsibility. The company employs its own physicians as well, to provide education and medical necessity reviews.
Our mission has always been to assist our hospital clients in adapting to the changes that frequently occur within the Prospective Payment System and from most payors. We accomplish this by utilizing consultants who have specialized backgrounds, concentrating exclusively on either CDM or coding validation. This approach allows PPS to provide our clients with expeditious and highly accurate results in the forms of compliant billing, better revenues and improved cash flows.
