Recently our mother died, and one of my siblings was admitted to this hospital. We had to try a total of 4 times before we were finally able to make contact with our Sibling. And in sorting out how we handle and finalize our plans for our mother they repeatedly provided us conflicting information, denied us even the ability to drop off papers, all while lying to my sibling interred there and providing her information that directly contradicted what they told us. These Hospitals are not a place for folks to find wellness or otherwise receive good practical care.
The staff did the best in accommodations as possible. I am a newly diagnosed diabetes patient. The discharge process did not go well. Prescriptions were made with the pharmacy that was not open on Sunday. Discharge occurred without proper education to the patient.. The medicine was not really available and the prescription for the needle pens was not clear. I am having a very hard time walking on my leg at this time and don’t know if it will have to be removed. I have an appointment for today at 2:20 PM with my primary doctor. It took several tries to obtain a follow up appointment, even though it will not be with my primary physician until August 24th, 2023. My sugar continues to fluctuate on a daily and nightly basis. I have not had any education classes regarding diet and planning of meals. I am out here on the island trying to find a raft so I won’t drown.
My Experience At Providence Hospital In the Mammogram Diagnosis Department Was Very Unprofessional, Laziness, Unhelpful, Act As Though You Are Bothering Them. Poor Customer Service!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO TO PROVIDENCE HOSPITAL FOR MAMMOGRAM SERVICE. So Today 8/24/23 AGAIN To Schedule For A Procedure & AGAIN. NOT SUCCESSFUL. The Person Told Me In Scheduling There Name Was Gladys. She Wasn't Able To Schedule The Appointment For Whatever The Reason Was So I Ask To Speak With A Supervisor. The Person Kept Me On Hold So Long Until I Decide To Just Hang Up. I Just Want This Information Put Out About How Unprofessional Some The Employees Are At Providence Hospital. Something REALLY NEED To Be Done. This Is My 3rd Time Trying To Get This Procedure Done At This Location. Well Now The World Knows!!!! We Are Patient Who Need Patient Care. This Is Unacceptable.
My stay was comfortable and I always had all my questions answered. They was very attentive to my needs and my child. My room was clean and all the staff was professional and caring. Dr. Miller, Dr Hasaba, Dr Roth was an amazing doctors. Nursing staff was good came every time I pushed for help. The food was great and I just enjoyed being there.
Ascension Providence Hospital has AMAZING staff, from the doctors to the housekeeping staff. My care was top-notch, professional, and life-saving. However, the equipment was shoddy and sub-par. My heart monitor barely worked, my bed barely worked, it took days to find me a working room phone, ... I could go on and on. You're hampering the good work your staff does by not providing them with better equipment!! It's not fair to your patients or your employees. I'm happy to complete a more thorough survey.
Leah my nurse was amazing. She was very caring and knowledgable. But the room was filthy. I had my room switched three times and they had personal belongs of other patients, bloody bandages and leads on the bed I was told was clean. The other room had someones filth in the tub and used commodes in the room. The doctors and ir nurses were amazing as well. They worked quick and kept me painless. Barbara particularly was sooooo nice and calming.
The entire staff from the beginning to the end were excellent. The night I came into the ER, it was extremely crazy busy. Props to the employees that work ER. Once admitted, the nurses, aides and any additional staff that I came into contact with were very friendly, very polite. The only thing I can say negative is you need to update the mattresses /pillows. Very uncomfortable with somebody who already has issues with their back.
Very professional Doctors, RN, NP, and admin staff. As for the kitchen meals they are very good for hospital meals, EXCEPT, all of my meals always had something missing or stuff I dud not order. Then the day I was discharged we had to wait a long period of time for the wheel chair to have me taken down to the entrance of 45 minutes. There us no reason that on the day patient's should have to wait more than 10 - 15 mins to just get from the room to the entrance in order to go home.
Nurses were amazing! I had Valerie and Brittany for my labor delivery nursing team! They took amazing care of me and kept me relaxed. Dr. Marras was amazing as well! I appreciate all that she does as a Dr and a human being!
The staff wasn’t that good at all with the exception of two-three people. The two nurses that were very good at their jobs and well informed was Nicole on day the 24 and Dawn was excellent she went over and beyond to help me with my situation. Evan was really great as well. He did his job with a pleasant smile and attitude whereas the night shift was not that good at all. They did the bare minimum and the one nurse told me that that’s not her job so I told her I didn’t feel comfortable with the technician taking out the foley so she did but with reluctance, that was my first night stay. But this particular nurse was not friendly at all. She was a black female with an Afro African. Her remarks were very smart and flipped. My daughter wanted to report her then. I felt the facility without a back brace. I just had surgery but didn’t receive adequate support and treatment from my standard. The physical therapist was so surprised that I was sent home with out a back brace no stability at all.Elizabeth was very impersonal with everyone especially my daughter when asking questions and that was the one that told me that is not her when I asked her to change the foley because I was uncomfortable with Amanda doing that service.
