This place sent me to my car because I had a upper respiratory infection so I payed for them to make me sit in my car how ridiculous - this is sad that they singled me out. - what is happening to the health care code of conduct. They singled me out because of Covid how stupid. I want my money back.
Office staff here gave my wife false information about accepting her insurance, now they are asking us to foot the bill $400 for the lack of training of their staff on how to handle these questions. Dr McCahon was attentive and a highly effective clinician who listened to my wife's concerns. Unfortunately not everyone at this office has the same zest for patient care.
My wife went to see the doctor to get a simple refill for her meds, the nurse took all the info, we waited an hour for the doctor only to tell us that she can not give it to us due to not being specialized enough. There goes our money and time out of the window. Very unfriendly doctor as well.
Usually this office is really nice and helpful, all throughout my life. Yet Amy B. Swadener nearly killed me by dismissing and "diagnosing" my seizures as me just being "an overemotional drug addict". She prescribed me medications that not only didn't help, but worsened my episodes when I did have them. *I only smoke weed, BTW. The GOOD doctor I went to got my correct medications and we've together made life changes that didn't include me not smoking weed like I have for years for anxiety with and medication and I haven't had a seizure in one year and 3 months now. However this situation still haunts me how I could be treated like that by a so called professional. I've never before questioned a doctor. But this entire situation has made me re think that.
My elderly disabled mom had been waiting for a cab to bring her home. She does not own a cell phone, not does she want one. The cab company notified me that they had showed up at the clinic so I called the reception desk there at the Snohomish clinic with the intention of making sure my mom connected with the driver. I was placed on hold long enough for my mom to arrive home. Thank God the driver found her in the lobby so she wasn't stuck, but I was on hold for almost 15 minutes. I hung up, because she was home. But I'm very disappointed that when it was urgent to speak to someone in the clinic they didn't have enough people to answer the phones in a timely manner. There are some other issues I'm not happy with concerning my mom's care, I'm trying to find her a different doctor to see. This is just one more straw.
My husband went in for another follow up from a dui driver hitting him a year later. We wanted to make sure his soreness was normal before we closed with the car insurance. He was treated like he wanted prescriptions and Dr. Feltner was not helpful. We have been going to this clinic for over 10 years and he did not deserve to be treated so low. The office also messes up on billing almost every visit. I tried to call the manager of this clinic and she has never responded.
I have been going to this clinic for 10 years! Seeing Dr. Grant who is an exceptional doctor caring, smart and always pushing me to complete my goals. I called yesterday was told he's no longer with the clinic but a Dr. M could see me as he's taking Dr. Grant patient's so I schedule the appt. About 5 mins later get a call back stating Dr. M won't see me because of my narcotic script and she will ask a different md in office if they will see me and follow up. So she calls back maybe 5 minutes later and states no one in the office will see you for your pain management/follow up with you but they can refer you to a specialist because of the new "providence rules". Its truly upsetting and sad as a patient for years with no problems/ always abbided by my contract to be treated differently. Its sad that we get less&less time with doctors. Wait longer, can't get into our doctors when really needed and now there being dictated on how, vwhen and what they can treat!! So beyond irritated with our healthcare system.
I saw Carol McCahon, wish I hadn't. She was not interested in helping. I went in to establish new care, be seen for gallbladder attacks, a skin tag and to have medication renewed. I'm pretty sure she felt I was wasting her time. She refused to renew a prescription I have been on for 2 years and referred me to a clinic in Seattle. I asked about my gallbladder attacks and she asked me if i was willing to make lifestyle changes or if my end game was surgery. Not sure what that is supposed to mean exactly. Does anyone"want" to have surgery? So I was referred to Colby Campus to make my own appointment for an ultrasound and lab work. When it came to my skin tag, she seemed annoyed I was still there. Glanced at my shoulder and proudly announced that this new growth I had was in fact a mole, not a skin tag as previously diagnosed. You guessed it, another referral. So just to recap, my $30 copay got me 3 referrals, no refill on my meds, and treated like I was a burden to the ARNP. No thanks, I won't be returning for another visit with her. It's unfortunate as I've always been treated extremely well by providence. As a previous employee of PEMC I can honestly say, she does not represent the standard of care prov expects.
Today I got a call that I needed to make an appointment because I was requesting a medication refill too early. I asked what a normal amount of time to request a refill was and I was told I would not be getting any more refills until I met with the doctor to discuss as I was not using the medication as it is intended. I was really caught off guard so I made the appointment. After thinking about it, I knew for a fact I had not been taking it more frequently than I should. I called my pharmacy and found out that the last time I had picked up the 12 count medication was almost 2 months ago; not 2 weeks ago like they had said. I called the clinic back to let them know they were mistaken and hopefully avoid wasting the doctor's time and mine. I was talked to as if I were a drug addict. "I told you why the doctor needs to discuss this issue with you, the medication is habit forming". Very unsettling and offensive.
Trying to get to the clinic for the first time was a nightmare. I had to cross Bickford during rush hour which was impossible so I had to turn and make u-turn. The clinic itself was clean, the receptionist wasn't friendly but efficient. My doctor was very thorough and spent a lot of time with me to get to know me.
