Arrived at 0820 for an 0900. Docked immediately. Out the gate at noon. IMPORTANT!! The overnight lot is CLOSED because they tore it out to build a new building. They *may* let you park elsewhere on site if you ask, I didn't. Dock, pay lumpers via link sent by text, then wait for the light to turn green. Clerk wants to see your digital receipt before they'll give you the bills back. Unloading takes so long because they're basically doing it twice. The lumpers unload you and bill you THEN Publix has to count and verify everything.
Very slow process. I only had four pallets to deliver and it took them three hours to unload them. Big parking available so you can stay there over night. They use lumper service so it all adds up in time. If you have full load it will probably take way longer to deliver or pick up.
Terrible experience. Showed up on time for appointment. Sent me to wrong location multiple times. Ran out of warehouse space where they were unloading me asked to move doors. Waited for over an hour after paying lumper to get BOLs...overall time check in at 0900 check out 1500. And they ripped my chute. I will not be back.
So here's the truth about this place, 9am.. got there at 8am work a long line of trucks. Checked in by 8:30a beautiful BW at the guard shack went to shipping/receiving didn't know that I should have drove on the other side I was told to checked in on this area. Walked a mile just to check in and it was cold where you needed to check in bring a jacket and hat have them my paperwork and they said to go find a door and come back seriously found a door on the other side from where I checked in didn't have to go back around because this for was closer, hmm checked in again only to now wait for them to break the seal need bolt cutters and it's 10a still waiting to get those bolt cutters..lol.. pack breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you are delivering dairy the doors are 720 - 732. Don't pay attention to whatever door number you get assigned at the entry gate. Go back to the dairy doors and just back into the first one open. It's a free for all. Of the 12 doors six are normally not available because of drop trailers and broken dock plates. I had a 0800 appt and didn't get into a door until 1245. I finally left at 1450 - just in time for Atlanta traffic. Enjoy :
I had a 4am appointment, but they checked me in at 6pm a day before. I was out in 2 hours. Be prepared for the lumper fee
Overnight parking with restrooms and vending. It was pretty full at 11 pm. I parked behind trailers in a row and no one bothered me about moving. They will give you a door assigment and a time to back in the door. They will not call you to move to that door. My appointment was at 4:45 the time that Receiving opens. I was in the door at 4:30. Checked in by 4:55. Made the lumper payment at 9:05. Given the green light at 10:15. Left the facility at 10:23. Other than the employees being friendly, I'd be okay not returning there. The employees are why I gave it a 2-star rating.
24hour overnight parking available Sundays are the worst days They will hold u up Driver be aware Not possible to get a door prior to your appointment, but you can sit and wait
Ripped out overnight parking to build a new building so trucks just sitting everywhere in front of the docks making it harder to get in since there's no staging lot. Light has been green since we backed up, so no telling whether or not they're done. Paid lumper several hours ago, still waiting on call for paperwork. Been here for 10 hours and counting. Thank goodness my next stops aren't until tomorrow. Still starting to wonder if we'll make it on time.
NO MORE OTR OVERNIGHT PARKING!! They are constructing other buildings in that previous overnight parking area. There are 2 blue signs when you drive in that says No overnight OTR parking. Get used to it now, everyone! Just arrive 2-3 hours prior to your appointment.
