This is my one of the least favorite places to deliver. It is unbelievable that management overlooks how poorly this place ran. More than 5 hours to deliver and checked in at least 3 hours before the appointment time. Very slow. Not recommended. If you're in a hurry. Ask for better compensation if you are delivering here
This place take forever to unload you don’t take loads here. They will have you sitting all day with an empty trailer while they count it. 10 hours to get unloaded with their best guy.
This is the best Publix to deliver to. This should be the way all Publix operate. Don’t know why the rest can do it the way these guys do it but PUBLIX should figure it out and apply asap!! Breathe of fresh air to come here. People are super nice. Super professional. All are in great mood. Good vibes. Place is super super clean. Bathroom clean. Docks clean. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. And the guard at entrance was the nicest person. Definitely looking forward to coming back here.
3 stars. Check in @ gate ok. Check in @ receiving ok. Wait for a call to get on a door when you have an appointment is not ok. 1 hour wait. After the call to get on a door there is another wait 2 hrs + before they start unloading. Another hour wait just to get your bills back after paying lumper. If they lower the wait time by 50% then this could be an outstanding facility worth 5 stars.
Great place ..but be prepared to spend 5 hours from checking to unload. No overnight parking but you should and can check in as early as 2 hours before your appt time. Clean and has good bathrooms for drivers .
Got late 35 min for my 6am appointment there is a sign with 2 hours grace period after your appointment time and 2 hours prior the appointment, got a dock by 7 am and out by 9am ,for a distribution center with lumper it's pretty fast ,the bath is not the cleanest one but this is because mostly of the drivers !!! There is no overnight parking but right at the exit is an small truck stop with paid parking !!!
3am in the gate w/door assignment 3:40am Receiving window sent me to lumpers 3:45am Lumpers sent me to wait in truck 5am appointment 7am lumper payment request 7:02am lumper paid/waiting for bills And while I'm waiting for bills I'll mention, the place is about as colorful as a prison. The warehouse has no AC, so you can imagine the smell of the employees after the shift reaches halftime. That might explain the attitude described in other reviews as well. Free and very strong coffee in standard 16oz styrofoam deli containers are a perk of your purgatory while here. People arriving between 7:30am and 8am have all been told to wait to receive a door assignment. That can't be good. But if the reader is perceptive it would be noted that the author is still waiting at the window for bills at 8am. As clerk does begin making calls to assign doors, she calls them in descending order. Undoubtedly, this will cause drivers to bunch up waiting on the driver that is backing in and is simultaneously in his approach area. This must either be explained by a high level of talent at causing confusion, or skill at it. If I reach any level of success in this review the reader should acquire the same feeling in being dispatched to deliver at Publix as they would receive after drinking a 16oz cup of free/very strong coffee. A feeling that resolves itself over a large bowl in a private room. Ahh Must, uncross, leg. No, circulation. Every minute now feels like 5 minutes. .... Now, 6. .... Now, 7. Watching the clerk eating potato chips and analyzing her soon to be "fed face" in mental slow motion is not flattering to her. How many mistakes must I have made during the course of my life that has led me to be here at this moment??? By the way dear Reader, I must have been the first one through the gate this morning. When I entered the facility it was a ghost town. Is it possible that my bills should be the first to flow through the channels on their way to being completed and leaving this place?? It is now 8:28am and my 1 week vacation begins when I leave this gate. My Perfect Wife and I attempt to stay out 4 months and take 7-10 days off. In this case it might be only 6.9-9.9 days off. .... 6.8-9.8 .... 8:45am, the most emotionless face hands me bills and must feel sad that they must stay while I get to leave.
This is the worst place to come to. When you come inside door 902 where the receiving there’s a write lady first shift at the window, who’s so racist, nasty. She don’t deserve to be in this world. We need more love. They need better people at the receiving.her supervisor who happen to be black have no control over her. This is messed up place.
Horrible! Arrived at 7:30am for our 8am appt, was given a door at 10am given the lumper bill at 1:30pm and still waiting to be released. Their reasoning "a big truck and we have to tag each box" REALLY!! Request more money when assigned to this Publix Ferrerro Candy Load
A usual waiting period of about 2 to 3 hours to get unloaded had a good experience everyone was kind and professional there is a lumper fee usually they use relay for lumper fee
