I really like this place. Its nice and clean. Lots of variety for fresh bread and salad and soup. Quality food. Starbucks is inside which makes it comfy as well. Also the carts are super kids friendly which I enjoyed the most as well.
Anytime I encounter the African American lady with the painted on eyebrows in the deli, I have issues. I typically brush it off, but this time I about had it and had to say something. Arrived to the deli. Patiently waited and while my wife and I stood there, we got ignored while she and another employee finished their conversation. 12 minutes later I timed it, we were finally helped. My wife explains how she wants her aub and she cuts my wife off and says I know what goes on the sub. Asked for a whole sub, ended up with a half. Very very unpleasant experience.
I'm a Publix fan anyway, but this store is lovely and in an area where I can drop by on my way home from my doctor's appts. Even later in the evening there was a fresh rotisserie chicken in the case, and a fresh pre packaged salad in the deli case that I picked up for an easy dinner.
I recently started coming here when I moved to Wyndham but I feel like Kroger has a bigger selection especially with grilling accessories. Also the employees are judgmental. I own a home repair and renovation business and they hate to see a working guy in boots.
Very clean. Friend staff and stocked well. Great shopping experience. It's a bit pricey, so I gave it 4 stars. It's a nice store.
5 stars to the bakery for their excellent Tiramisu and mocha flavored donuts. Also, the Deli's chicken popcorns are way too good. I'm never getting chicken popcorns from elsewhere now!
Their prices are higher than most competitors but their food quality is top notch. The Starbucks in the store is super quick compared to the stand alone Starbucks in the same shopping center during peak hours.
Always have what I need. The lady at the bakery helped my autistic son out and had a lot of patience with him picking something out!
We got our wedding cake here and the service could not have been better. We tried 2 "high end" well-known area bakeries and their service could not come close to what Publix did for us. They do a free in-person tasting, delivered the cake for a very reasonable fee and treated us like royalty. Plus our cake was absolutely perfect. Each tier was a different flavor and filling. Everyone at the wedding raved about it.
Madison in the Bakery department of this Glen Allen location is rude. She couldn't get away from me fast enough when I asked her if she would slice my bread. She said someone would help me as she whizzed by me on her way for a confab with another employee. Guess we know who rates and it's not the customers. Special thanks go out to the cake decorator who had to come WAY out of her way to pick up Madison's slack!!
