They say nothing at all on their site about not permitting legally owned firearm into the establishment. Even though this is located in a high crime area. So disarm yourself and go defenseless. They do not say you are required to eat a full meal before just before donating. Just wasted three hours of public transit travel time to get here as I have no other mode of transport because Seattle has no plasma donation sites. Terrible experience and waste of my time. Couldn’t recommend more against not going here.
Staff worked hard to make the process quick and pleasant. I felt relaxed while donating, and look forward to coming back again. The long lines never discourage me. They move at a steady pace and I usually leave in less than two hours.
Pay no attention to your scheduled donation time, it won't happen. For a process that should take an hour to an hour and a half max, you should plan on at least two hours. The compensation for donating varies way too much. More consistency in compensation would be great, keep it consistent.
Nadia is great! I had to come back and update my review! I have had the chance to be taken care of by Nadia a few times and every single time she is on it! Friendly, explains the process as we go through, communicates and aware of her surroundings and shows empathy towards them. What a wonderful person to be working here. I love when she is the one to take my vitals because I know I’m being seen with a person who cares.
The first time visit is a little longer process but I felt like the staff made it as enjoyable as possible. They are fun and light-hearted. During the first visit you have a physical/health screening and Ms. Caroline was so fun to chat with and we ended up laughing a lot - she made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. I’ve been back 3 more times since my first visit and everyone I’ve encountered has been great!
The wait is ridiculous. They don't seem to be doing anything to respect donors time. You can't check in 10 min prior to your appointment or 10 min after but they can make you wait an hour and a half to be seated. Then when they ask you to contact them through their website so they can speak with you directly, they don't ever contact you or respond. Whoever from the center is going to respond to this telling me to contact you directly through your website; I have. You never returned my inquiry so I've dropped my review the lowest it will allow me.
I love coming here to donate plasma! Nadia who does the initial check/BP/finger stick is professional and just a joy to work with! Brie is the bomb when it comes to the actual donation process as she is upbeat, efficient and funny! Evelyn is a great educator and took great care of me when I first came to donate. The facility is very clean and well run. I would highly recommend this be your plasma donation center!
The staff here are incredibly sweet despite how busy they are. If you're nervous like me around needles, they patiently reassure and comfort you. my first time here was a very pleasant experience. You can tell they care about each patient. Thank you, BioLife-Tukwila employees!
I've been going to this center for about half a year now and everyone who works here is amazing and makes donating plasma such a painless, even pleasant experience. I wanted to specifically mention how amazing Marissa is. She always has a wonderful bedside manner, is kind and attentive to every donor no matter the situation, and always seems so put together and organized even when things get busy and stressful. She's always makes my donations fun and puts me at ease. Someone give her a promotion and a raise!
I have 30 donations under my belt at this center, there are times when it is really busy and frustrating with how long the lines can get at times. But I have never had a bad interaction with the staff, they have always been friendly and considerate to me. Today I had Prinsese as my phlebotomist and she was super sweet! Took great care of me and had no problems with getting the needle in my vein. I recommend this place, just know it can be busy and you will be there for 1.5 to 2 hours in the evenings.. though the center has had less donors showing up the past month than Q1 this year.
