Pups N Purrz, located in Historic Downtown Benicia, opened in 2010. Karen Hanna, the new owner since 2017 has a life time of experience with beloved pets. Owning and operating her own pet store has always been a dream of Karens and making it happen in Benicia was vital. Karen raised her four children here in town and is now a Benicia grandma. Nothing like a former "Band Mom" to be up for the task of serving you and your beloved fur babies..

Karen is proud to offer only the highest quality, nutritious foods and treats for your favorite dogs and cats. Organic and gluten-free lines of food and treats, decorated cookies and special treats on your pet’s birthday are also offered.

Karen shares her home with her girlfriend and their four pups and one kitty.

This is THEE best little pet shop anywhere. The dog wear is top notch the treats and toys are always interesting and new.
Owner, Karen is loved by dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes in Benicia. She often gives well behaved pups a treat from her bulk treat bins. My dog, a frequent recipient of her kind gesture, used to regularly check if the shop was open when we walked past at night. He would look longingly through the door. Darn! Lights off. Closed Karen introduces me to Grandma Lucy's brand dog food. My pup tried it, and loves it. We switched from another much more expensive brand and will save $80.00/ month by doing so. Thanks, Karen for the great money-saving tip!
They boast a terrific selection of dog chews, toys of all sizes and shapes, plenty of harnesses and collars and leashes, and they sell Pet Fresh dog food too. the real star of the show, however, is the owner Karen. She is so caring, and helpful and kind, and it's clear to see what a wonderful and genuine love for animals she has.
Nice place. There was a new owner who I met a very gracious and knowledgeable lady. The place is small but it's neat and clean and has a large variety of items. I like the variety of treats available, there were exotic rare treats available for my dog. I also purchased some supplement for my dog's food, and it was a non fishy organic hemp seed oil substitute. All in all I was glad that I stopped in when I was walking by. I will be back,. I highly recommend you take a peek.
This is a great little shop for your favorite fur friends or kids right in downtown Benicia. The owner is always quick to give out treats she's a spoiler and carries only the best products. Plus she's super fun to chat with when you're out on a furry walk, so do yourself a favor and stop in!

Very cute small store with lots of pet supplies for your dog and cat.Leashes and collars, vests and warm sweaters. Food and toys also available. Owner is super nice and helpful.
Fantastic store with great selection and reasonable prices. The owners and staff are extremely kind and generous! They also let the Humane Society of the North Bay hold adoption events there sometimes which is so awesome!
