Purple Turtle

This hole in the wall is awesome from every side! Service was nice, food was tasty, and bathrooms were clean. I also got soft serve lime sorbet and it was divine! I brought small kids and they were accommodating as well! Kid-friendliness: We had 2 small kids and they made sure everything was made easy for us.

We really like this place, the food is tasty, good prices, a variety of options, their ice creams constantly change flavors and they are all delicious! It is a place with history and an essential part of PG, I highlight that they have an announcement panel to publicize your business, that community spirit is noticeable. The employees are very kind. Detail that sometimes you can't find parking, so in that case you prefer to go through the drive thru

There is something about a mix of fresh berries and ice cteam That is not totally flooded with sugar syrup flavors…. I had the raspberry cheesecake shake and it was absolutely delightful In an update we had fish and English chips. The fish was halibut and it has a lot of breading not specifically to my liking. The root beer floats were fantastic as always. The English chips were great. The service was top notch and the restaurant clean.

We like Purple Turtle, I wouldn’t say we love it. It’s been an iconic place to eat in the Pleasant Grove-Lindon area my entire life. We’ve eaten here a handful of times over the past couple of years which has ultimately brought me to my 3-star review. First of all, the fries in all forms from Purple Turtle are fantastic! Whether it is Tator Gems my personal favorite, Regular Fries, or Sweet Potato Fries. I enjoy their Pink Sauce Purple Turtle version of fry sauce, it has a slightly different taste the usual but it’s tasty. Their burgers nowadays are decent. They used to be better. I almost always get the Mile High Pastrami Burger. In the past it has had a much better balance of sauce, cheese, pastrami, beef, pickles, and lettuce—now the burger tastes a little bit dry and perhaps even a bit cheap. Somewhere in the past couple years their quality of burger went down. They are a slightly above Arctic Circle type of burger. Hopefully they can turn it around. Their chicken nuggets are not good. You can buy Dino-Nuggets at the store that are basically the same as their chicken nuggets. Their shakes are decent as well. The Kiddie Size is $3.99 and it is plenty, even for an adult like myself. My kids love the strawberry shake. If you are a fry dipping in shake person this is a great place. They maintain a good fry to shake ratio. They have a pump station with Pink Sauce, Ketchup, and Ranch, which is nice so you don’t have to ask for sauces at the counter. As you can see from my pictures the quotes on the ceiling crossbeams are really fun. Depending on the time of day the parking lot doesn’t allow for a ton of vehicles. In summary, Purple Turtle has great fries of all types, okay burgers, and okay shakes which gives it a 3-star rating.

Pretty typical tasting fast food. The fries were pretty tasty, but the burger patties had an odd after taste. The prices are pretty reasonable tho, so no big complaints.Food: 4/5

The Purple Turtle has great milkshakes and is worth the visit. We got the Kiddie shake which is the smallest size but for a small shake it is big. I love when a milkshake tastes like chocolate and they made it extra chocolate for me which was fantastic. There tater tots were good. The beef patty on the burgers is small, but the burgers are good.

My new favorite burger place Their Jalapeño Bacon Burger is delicious! Staff is always friendly. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. *A bit difficult to find parking if you want to dine in.

Since 1968 the Purple Turtle has been a stopping point. It has changed hands over the years, but they keep it OG. We have family buried in the area so on our annual pilgrimage we make it a point to stop. Never a disappointment and brings back memories of the stop before heading up American Fork Canyon.Food: 4/5

Good overall but unfortunately their burgers are nothing you are going to be telling people about. The fries however are absolutely awesome! Combine their fries with a better burger and this place is five stars all day everyday.Food: 4/5

This place is great! Delicious food. I had the western viking burger. Definitely recommended! The price was fair. The service was alright. We didn’t really get acknowledged or greeted for a few minutes after we had arrived. That’s okay though. We hadn’t made up our mind in the menu. We got great recommendations for our food from the person at the counter. Good food! Worth coming back! I have so many fun memories here as a kid with my mom, siblings, and friends. It’s such an iconic restaurant. I’m grateful they are still up and running! It’s been updated since last I was there.
