Pyle, Mills, Dye & Pittman is a full service law firm with an emphasis in municipal and local government law, including annexations. Located in central Mississippi, the firm serves as general counsel for the cities of Ridgeland and Byram, and has served as special counsel for dozens of other municipalities, handling anything from utility rate disputes to voting rights challenges. The firm has handled the incorporation of Mississippi's two newest cities, Byram (2009) and Diamondhead (2012). Our partner John Scanlon also serves as the municipal prosecutor for the City of Byram. As a result, the firm offers representation of individuals outside of Byram and Ridgeland in need of legal assistance at the county or municipal level, with any issue from zoning & planning to misdemeanor criminal defense.
