I have stayed here twice in the last year. I would describe the hotel as adequate but unpleasant. I’ve found my room to dirtier than ideal, once with a ball of hair in the shower. Of course the whole hotel smells like smoke and some perfume used to cover it up. Pros: AC works and no signs of bed bugs.
I wanted to love this place, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. However, my room was less than clean, the casino area smelt a lot like smoke for being "smoke free". I was only there to sleep so I wasn't that worried about the casino area, others seemed to be enjoying it just fine. My pillows were lumpy and half the mattress was sunken, the other half was hard and had a hump in the middle. I slept terrible because of this. I also wouldn't be as disappointed if this was an 80 dollar room. but for 150, I expected a much nicer sleeping experience. Once again, can't say enough about the staff They were wonderful, same with the Diner.
We selected this hotel because it advertised as a smoke free environment/room. It is connected to a casino which is not smoke free and the only thing that separates the hotel from the casino is a door which always opening and closing so the smoke from the casino enters the hotel. Second problem, I reserved a accessibility room because I have problems with a tub, I need a walk-in shower. The room was more like a cubby hole, the distance between the dresser and the foot of the bed was less than 24 inches. I'm sure a wheel chair would not be able to get through there and it would be difficult for a walker. Just because it has a walk-in shower doesn't make it an "handicap accessible" room. Very dissatisfied with this hotel, it's not up the level of quality of come to expect from choicehotel brands.
Waitresses are very good. Very good lunches and breakfast,haven't been for dinner. Senior friendly, do a great job of splitting a plate for us,thank you cooks. We go at least once a week. Prices are affordable.Service: 5/5
I made a reservation online while driving with an email confirmation for the correct date, when we arrived they told me the reservation was for weeks away. Reserved a king bed, but they didn't have any left. They did get us a queen room on the second floor. Don't worry their elevator is broken. We had huge luggage bags after a 10 day vacation, and had to drag them up the shabby stairs. If we weren't desperate for a place to sleep, we wouldn't have stayed. This has been ridiculous from the time we arrived.
Suppose to be non smoking establishment and people smoking thru out the casino . Elevator wasn't working we had to carry our luggage up to the third floor 4 flights of stairs and we are senior citizens. No staff offered to help. Room carpet was spotted and dirty and a contact on bathroom floor.Rooms: 2/5
Rooms were clean ,Older hotel. Plenty of semi truck parking in gravel lot out back. Beds are cheap old school inner spring not very comfortable. Ac in my room couldn't seem to cool things off in March casino was cool, and restaurant was good. Good food, however they were out of just about everything when we came in for dinner.Rooms: 2/5
