Description

The Quechee State Park is located on US Route 4 in Quechee, Vermont. The park land is owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers and leased from by the State of Vermont. A hydroelectric dam sits at the north end of the gorge.Activities include camping, hiking, swimming, river fishing, picnicking, wildlife watching and winter sports.Camping facilities include 45 tent/trailer sites and 7 lean-to sites, two bathrooms with showers and a sanitary dump station. There is also a large field and play area, a picnic area next to Quechee Gorge with a pit toilet and a hiking trail along the gorge.

Very friendly park staff! Super helpful. Wood is 6 dollars a bundle 10 pieces Lot tent site 7 was very nice though it did have puddles when it rained
Great little place with lots to do very close by. Close to both interstates but absolutely silent once you’re in the campground. The layout is very easy going with lots of space between campsites. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. Many dining choices nearby as well as grocery stores and shops.
The state park campground was excellent. Very clean and well maintained sites. There are no electric sites, but that wasn't a problem. I just brought a small battery pack to charge phones and stuff. The sites were spacious and deep. The gorge itself was lovely to see. We hiked a couple trails and enjoyed the views. Not a place I'd stay for a week, unless you just want to enjoy the peaceful vibe of the campground. Otherwise, 3 days was plenty to look around and see the local sites.
Beautiful wooded sites, nice short hike to the gorge
Did not stay at the campground but took a walk through it on the way to the gorge. Looks real nice with nice looking sites with good room. Went back in Sept of 2021 for the hot air balloon festival and it was well worth the trip and stay. Knowledgeable and helpful rangers, clean bathrooms and showers and great common field. Big camp sites. Gladly come back again. Beautiful area.
Very nice campground! We stayed at site 7 and we thought the neighbors were a bit too close but the nice clean bathrooms/showers were very close. All sites seemed very spacious and the wood and ice were very fair prices! Restrooms: Very well maintained. I saw staff members checking on them often! Never dirty, always stocked. There's a shelf by the mirrors with an outlet if you bring you hair dryer. Showers were cheaper than the website showed. 75c for 7 minutes, $1.00 for 10 minutes and I can't remember the rest.
I went camping opening weekend in May and, unbeknownst to me, my dog lost her tags. Your staff found it and sent it to me in the mail. Not only that, but they wrote an adorable letter to my dog. Ive been meaning to write this review for months, but thank you! It was a small kindness that made me smile. I go to the campground every year and will continue to return.
Located right next to Quechee Gourge, a well kept park with a few trails. One trail leads to the VINS Nature Center, another to a man made waterfall and a trail that runs perpendicular to the Quechee Gourge itself. Bring good hiking shoes, bug repellent and water for that one! Picnic tables, not many, plenty of parking , map of trails and a communication for those who are contemplating suicide, yes really! Carry in, carry out. I cannot remember if you can bring your pet , but, I would keep an eye on Fido because there is a busy road that divides the park. A father and daughter set up a lemonade stand in the parking area. That's cool ! I visited to see the gourge and waterfall. I want to return to walk the trail to VINS.
Beautiful lean too and campsite. Bathrooms clean. Rangers and staff friendly and helpful. Walk thru woods to gorge was lovely. Woodstock is close and is an easy bicycle ride away. Looking forward to visiting again. Thank you
Quechee state park is great. The sites are wooded and pretty private. Site 46 They allow generators during certain times. My next door neighbor decided to start it an hour early 7am and then leave for the day. I wouldn't have minded but it was a little loud. We did let the staff know and it was taken care of. The staff was great about the whole situation. They apologized a hundred times and even hooked us up with a little extra fire wood. The gorge is walking distance and there's lots of hiking trails and shopping near by. I would definitely go back there someday.
