Amazing food been here before and was good. This time was able to try more dishes the staff was friendly food was great and would so recommend this place. Most don't see it when driving through but so worth trying them out call. Drove around 45miles to come here and glad I did.Food: 5/5
I went for dinner on a Friday night around 5:30. The place was almost filled by 6pm. This was not only my first time at Queen of Sheba, it was also my first time eating Ethiopian food. It was excellent. I just moved from Los Angeles with thousands of top notch, culturally diverse restaurants and did not expect to find this gem in west palm beach! The decor is really nice. You felt like you were somewhere else. I was also pleasantly surprised by the crowd. It was extremely diverse. It was nice to see people of all backgrounds enjoying themselves and something different from the norm. You’re encouraged to use your hands for the meal. However; forks are available on request. If you’re vegan or vegetarian- this menu is ideal! There’s many dishes to choose from. I recommend the sampler. That way you can try several things. The Ethiopian beer was good too. Sarah and the rest of the staff are fantastic and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. Will be going back and recommending to friends. There is a parking lot which is really convenient as well as street parking. Indoor seating only.
The BEST OF THE BEST !!! I love every single dish , everything is made with love and passion I’m so glad You are back guys Can’t wait to see you again Have some ripe sapodillas for me Beyond any expectations!! You are the best my Queen of Sheeba we LOVE your food and your lovely smile Thank you I’m adding our today’s pictures 5/17/2023
Absolutely incredible food!!!!! One of the best meals we have had in forever. Wonderful service as well!!! Can’t wait to go back. We loved the whole vibe too. I was also SO surprised when I asked what type of Cabernet they had I expected a not great wine but to my surprise it was an excellent Spanish wine! Just one note it is not in the best neighborhood. I was a bit reluctant when a friend recommended this to me knowing the area BUT it was so worth it. There is a parking lot and you can walk up to the building easily.
If you like homemade food made from scratch and with lots of love, then you must visit. We drive an hour to get here but always worth it - not only the food is delicious, but the hospitality from the owners make you feel like home. If you a vegan or vegetarian, this is heaven for you!Recommended dishesVegetable Sampler
Nit sure if this is the only African restaurant in town but I could not find any other one. I will definitely come back. I think they could work a tad bit on the greasy part however the food is delicious and it's 100% authentic Ethiopian. My wife and my mom never had Ethiopian food before so they were waiting for silverware lol... and when they saw me starting to eat with my bare hands they were dying of laughters. Great place, great decor and the owner is amazing. Will definitely come back!
The goal of a good restaurant is to inspire to to be present, and to be transported to somewhere the restaurant represents. This is a no frills place, but you immediately feel like you’re invited into a home. Be sure to get a reservation because there were only two in our party, and we were almost turned away. The menu is 80% vegetarian/vegan, with a few traditional meat offerings. I had the Doro Wot which is the national dish of Ethiopia, and it was fabulous. The injera tasted like it was made with a mothers love. A wonderful experience all the way around. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegan options, 80% of the menu
We walked in without a reservation and were turned away. We were halfway back to our car, a little disappointed but completely understanding, when the host came out and brought us back in per the chef's request. The food was phenomenal. Aromatic, and full of flavor. The chef came to our table personally to see if we had enjoyed the meal. Everyone working was very kind. We will absolutely be back. We are hooked.
Queen of Sheeba Ethiopian restaurant, nestled in the Historic Northwest of West Palm Beach, truly reigns supreme in its domain. From the moment I stepped foot into this remarkable establishment, I was captivated by its warm ambiance and inviting atmosphere. The culinary experience at Queen of Sheeba is nothing short of extraordinary. The menu boasts an array of authentic Ethiopian dishes, each meticulously prepared with love and attention to detail. The flavors burst with freshness, transporting me on a tantalizing journey through the rich tapestry of Ethiopian cuisine. Whether it was the fragrant injera bread or the tantalizingly spiced Doro Wat, every bite was a revelation. What truly sets Queen of Sheeba apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff is not only knowledgeable about the menu but also exudes a genuine warmth and friendliness that made me feel like a cherished guest. They were more than happy to provide recommendations, patiently explaining the various dishes and their cultural significance. Their passion for their craft was evident in every interaction, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. The attention to detail extended beyond the food and service. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated, with traditional Ethiopian artwork adorning the walls, transporting diners to the heart of Ethiopia.
My husband and I loved dining at Queen of Sheeba and plan to return soon. Everyone was warm, welcoming, courteous, and attentive! The food was fabulous, aromatic, and fresh! We are tremendous foodies and it is obvious that Lojo cooks with the utmost of love and pride. She took our order this evening and made awesome recommendations upon our request. She even sweetly encouraged us to pronounce everything that we would like to order while sheepishly smiling and telling us to pretend that she doesn’t speak any English. Her personable demeanor was as awesome as her cuisine. If you enjoy Ethiopian cuisine and/or wish to try it, visiting Queen of Sheeba is a must! Thank you again for such a lovely evening! We look forward to seeing you soon!
