The official LGBTQIA+ group within the community of Pratt Institute.
Queer Pratt is a safe place for people of all genders and sexualities. Come to meetings to discuss, play games, get off campus and hear various speakers from the community.
Queer Pratt is open to EVERYONE, no matter where they fall on the gender/sexuality spectrum.
The purpose of this organization shall be:
a. To function as a student organization
To provide safe space for all lesbians, bisexuals, gay people, heterosexual allies, and those questioning their sexuality.
b. To encourage participation
To provide an opportunity for all lesbians, bisexuals, gay people, heterosexual allies to develop a positive self concept, and to support their coming out processes.
To provide advocacy for the LGBT community, and to work toward dismantling oppression in all its forms.
c. To create campus programs and services
To increase awareness and acceptance of oppressed groups within the LGBT community, and to foster and insure cooperation any unity among all subgroups of the LGBT
To sponsor activities and programs which provide opportunities for members of the LGBT community to meet and connect.
To facilitate discussion of current issues and interests concerning the LGBT community.
