What does gender mean to you; How do you define your sexuality? In the progression of the Queer Studies class hosted at Salt Lake Community College by Elisa Stone we are attempting to understand the development of gender and sexuality and some of the struggles that the LGBTQ+ community has faced through its development. For our midterm project Maggie Avila and Jackson Disbrow have conspired together to host an art show, hoping to hold a safe space for the expression of your true self, who you feel you are in your heart of hearts. Sometimes emotions can get lost in prose, or perhaps you just are not ready to share with those in your life but you want share something. Here, we hope, an amazing opportunity will be created for you to present yourself or your views in a space where you will not be condemned but rather supported, accepted and validated for your own individual beauty.
