I had a very positive experience working with Matt on upgrading my daughter's 7-year-old student alto saxophone. She needed a new instrument for her college auditions. Matt recommended a model that accommodated our budget. I had complete faith in the Mighty Quinn's honesty and integrity and will definitely buy from this company again. Like a good mechanic, once you find a reliable and trustworthy musical instrument supplier, you want to keep it! The vintage lacquer on the alto saxophone is gorgeous and my daughter loves the full-bodied sound!
I’ve purchased two trumpets from The Mighty Quinn. If you’re looking for a great deal on a new or used instrument, I highly recommend dealing here. Like most of us, I’m a price shopper and I spend a lot of time looking for the best deal. This is the store that will serve all of your needs! The online shopping experience was pleasant and easy. Their inventory is easy to browse. They offered several options for payment, and the checkout process was flawless. I ordered a baritone saxophone. It was shipped across the country very quickly via FedEx, and it was packed very well. There was no damage to the box rare with large instruments, and the sax was in perfect shape, playing easily from top to bottom. I will not hesitate to order from them again!

My son was accepted to a premier University's Trombone Studio and needed a new instrument. After searching the internet for an affordable, reliable and trustworthy seller and platform, I landed on The Mighty Quinn Brass and Winds. When I called to ask about some mouthpieces, I was shocked by how far they went in order to ensure I had the best experience possible despite the fact that I was just some guy who was calling in on a Monday; the lady who answered my call asked what mouthpieces I was looking for and retrieved them from the stockroom as we were on the call. When I got there, the mouthpieces were all in a padded practice room, ready to play. When I asked about some other mouthpieces, the lady was once again kind enough to take me into the warehouse and look through their vast inventory of mouthpieces. I had the mouthpiece I wanted in my case within the month plus a free sticker, and I was deeply satisfied and in case I wasn't they allowed a two-week period in which I could make a full refund free of charge. Also, bonus points for sanitizing the mouthpieces before and after I used them unlike most other stores. Thank you so much!
I found this company by accident while surfing the web looking for a new trombone...and boy am I glad I did! This is my first time purchasing an "open box" item so I was a bit nervous about the process. I called the business and the owner Matt answered the phone. He explained the whole open box process and assured me that I would be satisfied with my purchase and I certainly am! I had initially paid full price for a trombone through one of the more well-known online music stores and after two weeks of waiting they still could not tell me when my instrument would ship. I cancelled my order and then ordered a Conn 88HO from Brass and Winds. They shipped it out the same day and it arrived in Georgia in just two business days. The packaging was excellent and well worth the shipping fee. My horn arrived on Tuesday and I played it in a church concert the very next night. It's amazing that I now have a professional grade trombone in mint condition for 2/3 the price! We purchased a gently used intermediate Alto sax. I was a bit apprehensive about buying online, but MQB & Winds answered all of my questions quickly and gave me peace with the purchase. JR was very helpful. Once purchased it arrived quickly and made our sax player very happy. It was just as described. I would purchase from here again!
My experience with the Mighty Quinn has been 100% positive. From the first time I emailed them about a clarinet, to addressing a tune-up I needed, to the service I received from their techs and front office, they were quick with communication, helpful, and extremely friendly. As a local buyer, I was able to test the instrument I was interested in. They had that instrument ready for my appointment in a private, well-appointment sound room with stand, tuner, cleaning materials, the works. They even provided me two other clarinets in the same price range to test. I was able to spend as much time as I needed to arrive at my decision. Their lobby, restroom, and sound room were extremely clean, well-lit, and welcoming, making my test session a real joy. When I brought my instrument in for the tune-up, I forgot a reed. "No problem, " said the tech, "take one of mine," handing me a brand new, fully wrapped reed. And beyond this generosity, in 10 minutes she had my instrument playing as good as new. She even set aside the clarinet she was working on to immediately help me. And while I am a local buyer, so I can't speak to a shipping-based experiences, I imagine your instrument and experience will be just as great as mine - no matter where you live and play. Highly recommended!
Absolutely Top Shelf! We had a tough time finding the right horn for me, but The Mighty Quinn stuck with it until I was completely satisfied and I now have a wonderful professional bass clarinet.
