I am the sole practitioner of R. Michael Knighten, CPA. My firm’s philosophy is to provide quality accounting, payroll and tax services for a reasonable price. To ensure the quality of my work I attend various seminars and classes and keep an extensive research library. I believe personal attention and communication are important elements in the client-CPA relationship. My client base includes individuals, closely held businesses, estates, trusts, partnerships, and limited liability companies. I have extensive experience providing client services including, but not limited to, tax planning and preparation, business startup, setting up accounting systems, compiled financial statements, Quickbooks installation, sales and use tax preparation, IFTA fuel tax preparation, and acting as a liaison between clients and the IRS and the Alabama Department of Revenue.

I am currently licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy. My original certificate license no. is 6442. The firm’s license no. is 1196.
