Members of local 4883 provide Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical services to Radnor and what is commonly referred to as the 'panhandle' in Tredyffrin.
We are a Combination Department consisiting of 1 Administrative Director, 9 Full Time Firefighters, and nearly 20 Part Time Firefighters. We protect Radnor Township along with portions of Tredyffrin Township in Chester County. Annualy we respond to well over 3,000 fire, rescue and emergency medical incidents.
On August, 1 2011 we began to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) service to the entire Township of Radnor as well as portions of Tredyffrin Township.
It is the mission of the Radnor Professional Firefighters Association, Local 4883 to preserve the current high level of fire protection and emergency medical services to both the citizens of Radnor and Tredyffrin Townships.
It is further the goal and objective of Local 4883 to protect the interests, hours, wages, benefits and working conditions of each and every member of our organization. To this end we will loyally commit our time, energies and resources.
